Wedding Card - Clean and Simple

Well my family do nothing by halves. My eldest Daughter Lauren sprang it upon us that she will be getting Wed in 10 Weeks time. June the 11th to be exact eeek!

So as this has just been decided it doesn't leave a great deal of planning time for prep and organisation.

Wedding Cards need to be made and sent in mega quick time and we were for our sins going to buy them, I sat tonight with a couple of the Tonic Studios Geared punches (Bride and Groom) and thought "surely I can come up with something elegant yet clean and simple and I'm hoping that this will fit the bill.

I need your comments on this. Does it work?

The card is Antique Gold and Cream the cream is showing up a little white toned but it is cream

I like it Jak, but think the bride and groom should be together, and not one at the top and one at the bottom. Looks like they've been separated before they are wed.

Definitely works for me Jak. I love it. You can't go wrong with Gold and white.
I would maybe add their initials in the oval or beside it??

Lovely Jak, just wondered what it would look like in a paler gold or cream? (could be my laptop making the gold look very dark like an old gold)Im sure what ever you decide will be perfect.Good luck in gettin everything made in good time!

I like it too - it looks as the bride and groom are tying the knot and that is a really lovely bow. As you haven't got too much time you need something that is quick and simple but effective and this fits the bill. Elizabeth x

I love it...and I actually like that the bride and groom are placed where they are....has a romeo and juliet kind of feel to it. :)

I think the bride and groom are fine where they are as it is an invitation to their marriage after all so they haven't actually tied the knot yet, they are just coming together as it were.

You are clever coming up with a design this quick.

I like the colour scheme, love the flourishes and the bow but I'm afraid I can't see a 'bride' in that top oval! I've squinted at it, enlarged the picture - looks like a toadstool with a bite out of it! I guess I'm the only one having trouble with that, maybe it's more obvious 'in the flesh' :)

Well done for keeping it simple - I helped a friend make invitations for her daughter and each one had layers, glitter, embossing, cut-out hearts, ribbon....took hours just for one!

Love the scrolls Jak but I feel that the white and gold are too stark against each other - maybe if they were a little more subtle perhaps?

I have to admit that it took me a while to figure out what the images were of and when I 'got' the groom, i had to think hard on what part of the bride the other punch represented... maybe thats just me tho!

I admire you for knocking it up in record time, and do not envy you the task of organising such an ocassion in such a short space of time. I wish you all the luck in the world with that - and wish your daughter and her finace many congratulations.

I agree the bride and groom should 'be together - perhaps in the center of the card and the flourishes "surround" them drawing attention to them and the "love" that surrounds them. ALso thinking you might use an embossing folder to add some texture to the card- nothing to busy, but something to add texture. Love the simplicity of it all and the colors are elegant.

Oh, if you are going to put the bride and groom together, I would use one large oval and scallop oval or a larger "label" die.

Hi Jak, that is lovely and simple, yet elegant. I too agree that the bride and groom should be together and maybe their initials in the bottom oval, just an idea. Good luck!!!! Luv Ursula XX

I like the Bride and Groom separate as will will come together in marriage. Layout is beautiful would have went softer gold perhaps and different type of bride groom image.

Hi Jak,
As ever, your design sense is wonderful. Clean and simple yet elegant at the same time.
I do however agree with the other lady that perhaps running the background through an embossing folder might make it a bit more sumptious. Nothing too busy though.

Sorry Jak but I don't like this at all. Like another person commented; it doesn't look anything like a bride to me. I'm not even keen on the groom either, it's all bits and pieces and it looks odd having everything near the bottom of the ovals rather than in the middle. Sorry but I really don't think this works.

I love the flourish in the middle but not sure about the ovals with the 'bride and groom'. Going to have a look at the next one now.
