The Shoe - Copic Creations Challenge 10

I created this card for the Copic Creations Challenge, I don't normally do challenges but my friend Marge told me about it & thought this one could be fun, I had The Shoe digi stamp by sketching stamper digi-stamps just sitting itching to be coloured so here it is, my challenge entry.

Attention to detail...

I wasn't sure which part of detail to show you on this card, the single petal at the bottom corner, the punched out heart shape in the top corner, the double tied ribbon? so I plumbed for the rose and the shoe detail.

The rose was made with a heart punch, I distressed some paper with red ink fading it out to a pink shade then punching out the hearts and tweaking the shapes into individual petals.

The front of the shoe was adorned with gold bedazzles to give a little sparkle and to add dimension.

Fantasy Tree

A white base card layered with gold and another white card, stamped with the Penny Black Fantasy Tree and heat embossed with gold detail powder.
I punched out snowflakes from acetate (be warned; I also broke one of my punches in the process) then dotted them with glossy accents and dropped them into some crushed glass glitter.
The snowflakes were added to the card with silicon then a pearl popped on the top of each one.

Attention to detail...

A large snowflake cut from acetate, dotted with glossy accents and dipped in crushed glass glitter.

The ribbon was tied through an iridescent button and tied into a bow.

A Big Thank You

A big thank you for all the wonderful comments made on my previous post, I have had the PUVA treatment before with good results so that is why I am so eager to have it again.

I have also been on Methotrexate for my arthritis and yes this drug did help but unfortunately I had to be took off it for health reasons, I feel like the light at the end of a tunnel knowing that my treatment will soon start.

On another note I had no idea so many of you out there suffered with psoriasis, nasty little devil that it is, also I empathise with those of you that hide away as I do the same, often apologise when handing money to shop assistants in case they think it is catching, often try to hide it away hoping that know one will notice it.

I hope you all have a scratch free night and some ease from the tightness it causes.

My News

I have had a real battle on my hands suffering with psoriasis in fact I don't think I have one part of my body that hasn't got a patch of sore cracked skin, from the top of my head down to the soles of my feet.
I went to see the consultant who was very nice and gave me a carrier bag full to the brim of potions and lotions to apply but in reality said that I needed Ultra Violet light treatment but unfortunately there is a waiting list for it.
After waiting a few weeks today I got the call to say that they now have a place for me and that I will start my new PUVA treatment on 8th September.
For those that have never seen what it is like to live with Psoriasis I've added a few pictures of what my skin is like at the moment.
it is supposedly caused by stress I had mine pretty much under control until Dad passed away last October

Lamb note book from Punches

Continuing with the note books I stumbled across a tutorial to make this cute lamb and it was super easy a scalloped circle a small oval 3 little flowers I used a teardrop punch for the ears but the tutorial used a small circle cut into half and the word slot punch for the legs.
I backed the note book in red card added a black and white polka dot paper and a red polka dot ribbon and I was done.

Pretty as a Row of Trees

Chocolate and aqua a lovely combination.
The aqua base card was stamped using the Rollergraph snowflake stamp inked with versamark then heat set after applying bridal embossing powder by Ranger, I'm not sure you can see all of the subtle twinkles that this powder gives but it is simple gorgeous in the flesh.
I used the same powder to heat emboss the Lovely as a Tree stamp by Stampin Up only this time using it on the chocolate coloured card then dividing it into 4 pieces and matting and layering it.
Lastly I punched 4 holes into the topper aqua card and threaded and tied a chocolate ribbon through the card. finished with a little Christmas tree charm and a pretty snowflake.

Attention to detail...

The snowflake was made using 2 snowflake punches then a little drop of clear drying glue on each and dipped into Crushed glass glitter to give the sparkle, a brad was added through the centre.

Dragonfly - Southern hawker

This poor thing was picked up outside work today by one of the staff, as you can see it has had some form of an accident, it was quite large and as you can see it has the most vibrant markings.
I looked it up on internet searching for UK Dragonflies and this is the information.
"have long thin bodies, four large wings that are held out to the sides and two large compound eyes. Antennae are very short. Southern hawkers have black bodies spotted with green, males also have some blue spots near end of their abdomen.

Fleur De Lis Pendant

I used the Spellbinders Fleur de lis pendant die and red card stock cut out and embossed using the tan Matt then I cut the die shaped into quarters I attached the shapes to the left facing corner then attached some of the waste petal shapes to cast over the corner a bit like a sunburst.
The friends was stamped in red poppy ink, from PTI

Attention to Detail...

This is the border that can be purchased to match the pendant die, I actually cut it out on an extra piece of Kraft Card and stuck it down on top of the red card then added it to the base card where the ribbon is hiding the join.

Jack at 4 Weeks old

He is wonderful isn't he?
Just finding out that he actually does like the bath, So much hair to wash.
I could just kiss him to bits, he smells like a fresh new tea-cake scrummy.

Another Bag - Glittered Vintage

I posted earlier this week (here) about the inkjet transfer paper from Photo Paper Direct
this time I tried out the glitter transfer paper it isn't a heavy coating of glitter, more of a subtle twinkle, tiny gold flecks of glitter in the paper which adds that special touch, I printed out the vintage image then ironed the paper onto the bag on a flat surface (I used my marble cutting board) then left the paper to cool before peeling off the backing, this one leaves a glossy finish onto the bag, where as the plain leaves a more of a Matt finish.
Oh yes I nearly forgot to add, my Mam claimed this one.

Rudolph - Christmas Card

These punched out Reindeer were such fun to make, all I used was the Stampin Up oval punch and a small dusty miller leaf punch for the antlers some googly eyes and dew drop gems for the nose coloured with Copic markers in black and red, I also used the oval punch for the body and just turned it on it's side.
I found the idea whilst blog hopping here Andrea Walford

Attention to detail...

I added white flower soft to the fence, the fence was made using the cuttlebug distressed stripes A2 embossing folder then cut into strips and distressed by dragging each strip across a brown ink pad. Stickles was also added to give the snow effect.
