It’s not often that I make teddy bear cards in fact I can’t remember the last time I made one but this little lady was screaming to be coloured.
She comes from the Tiny Dancer Elements set from Mo’s Digital Pencil
I kept the card simple with and embossed white card, it was one of the spellbinders embossing folders one of the A4 sized ones. I used an EK success corner punch on it and then cut out the image with a lacey oval from Spellbinders.
I finished the card with a dotted Papertrey ink ribbon and some gems from Mei Flower
My Mam has been having a clear out, actually it is an on going clear out, during which she is coming across things that she didn’t know that Dad had or even kept.
Dad was a Blacksmith and worked at Dawdon Colliery he worked 7 days a week and in his spare time he has an allotment (spare time indeed) My Dad is on the right of this photograph.
So Mam happened upon a log book from when Dad started to look after the cages that took the men down the coal mine. She remembers that Dad didn’t sleep for a week when he first took charge of it.
It dates back to 1967, I’d of been 2 years old then, isn’t that a brilliant find. he lists things that don’t mean much to me but I'm sure the miners from Dawdon would understand it.
Something that struck me about it was how neat his hand writing was and also that my handwriting is very similar to it.
It this inspection he states that the bottom door is cracked and that in his opinion it needs replacing.
I know that many of you were following me when we lost my Dad so I thought it would be nice to share this with you all.
I think this one is going to tick all of the boxes for teenager cards, it is the theme that we have the most problems with, my daughter is in her early twenty’s and loves to sing and has the most amazing voice and would love this too.
Jamming Tracy by Mo’s Digital Pencil.
I used copic markers to colour this image and the Cameo Silhouette to cut out the background music mat.
A bit of lace, a bit of twine and a big button to finish.
Black gems in the corner are from Mei Flower
I’ve had this coloured for quite some time but only got round to making the card with it.
What to Draw Girl by Mo’s Digital pencil
I used the Cameo Silhouette to cut out the background shapes making one smaller than the other then threading ribbon through the smaller shape
Image was coloured with FlexMarkers
A pretty flower and some pearls from Mei Flower to finish.
I have been playing with the Silhouette Cameo Portrait, such a neat little machine, I love that you can cut out your own designs, trace images and die cut them, and use many of the SVG templates that are available to buy.
This one is from SVG Cuts and is called Tea for you and me.
Hard to believe it is just paper
You can fill both the cup and the teapot with gifts

Sadly I was unable to play along this month but I didn’t want you to miss out on some fantastic projects.
So here we go for day two at the NEC Birmingham.
Good sales and good people cramming into the venue, some brilliant new products, winging there way to your local craft shops.
Just a couple of I spy pics for you form your favourite craft companies.
And another
New clear. Stamps from ahemmmm Just Inklined shhhhh
I,m chilling in my room but wanted to give you a peek of these babies, there is thirteen new clear stamps to be launched on 14th and 15th March.
I used Flexmarkers to colour up the stamps.
I also spied some new Promarkers to be released eeek!
Just wondered if you would like some pictures from the trade show, I may have some interesting finds and thought you might like to see them too?
The trade show is renowned for having new releases for the crafting world, I know we have some gorgeous stuff to release and if by chance a picture or 2 sees their way to my blog I could hardly be blamed for that, it would be my camera’s fault right?
I managed a little bike ride before I got ready to leave for Birmingham, last week I did 3.99 miles pftt if I’d only rode along the street and back I’d of gone over the 4 miles barrier.
This week I made a mental note of that before we left.
Here is the statistics
and here is the route
Don’t forget, let me know if you’d like some trade show pictures.
I’m at the trade show at the NEC Birmingham Saturday to Tuesday so I’ve started to pack.
Just look at my poor FlexMarkers
I’ll be on the La Pashe and the Just Inklined stand if you are there and want to say hello, We have a new launch in March with something actually a few things that are rather special.
It’s hush hush until then so I can’t tell you but heck I’m sure I can get away with some sneak peeks.
Shhhhhh!
Mums the word!
I know we all like to be prepared for special events, Fathers day is in June and normally lands right on my Father in Laws Birthday so it is always a double whammy for me that month two cards two gifts for the same man. I like to get organised as soon as possible for it and this template just ticked all the boxes for him.
Comfy Sofa from Creations by AR
I had quite a bit of fun making this one and deciding colours and extra bits to add when finished.
The back of the chair and arm rest covers are an edged ribbon.
The cushion is also ribbon folded and padded inside with a piece of wadding.
Now I know you will all want to know where I got the miniature TV remote control and the miniature coffee mug from no?
Well I made them from polymer clay, it was a labour of love. I got a starter pack from Wholeport
Then there is the miniature News Paper, it was a printable for a dolls house found at Jims Miniatures.
Now if all of that isn’t enough it even has a secret compartment for you to add a gift.
A pull out box from the front of the chair.
Add some treats inside the box and you are ready to go.
