Green Thumb

The sun was shining and strawberry's always remind me of summer so out came the Green Thumb stamp set by Papertrey Ink, bright red ribbon and card stock Brilliance Rocket Red ink and I sat down and started stamping, the cherries where fun to create, I added Ranger glossy accents to the cherries to give them dimension and shine.

You can see from this shot that I added Ranger glossy accents to the card to highlight water droplets.

Hollywood Gals

Marilyn
In the next two cards I used photo stamps by The Stampsmith I find that using a brayer to apply the ink to the stamp the best way to ink these up as it gives an even coverage, I never get good results by applying the ink pad directly to the stamp.
The Dress Stamp was a bargain it was an ex-demo stamp it is made by
Inkadinkado I stamped this in archival ink and coloured using the Prisma pencils

Bling..

Another photostamp, this one is great for adding a bit of sparkle to her jewelry it gives the card that glitzy look.

I added a matching flower made using my faithful pear punch

Bling is the name of this stamp from The Stampsmith but who exactly is she? what's her name? I know the face and I love the image but can I put a name to her....nope!

Beautiful Blooms

This is another card that started out as testing some stamps, I love the leaves in the Beautiful Blooms set by PTI, I also like the fact that they come with a few different overlay stamps that can also be used on their own too.
I started by stamping the leaves in different direction from each of the corners of the card then used the dotted overlay stamp in a darker shade of the green to highlight the leaves. I then started adding the blooms by stamping the solid shape in lemon chalk ink then added the ouline blooms in a perlescent orange shade.

I made a focal point by stamping the largest of the blooms on a seperate piece of white card stock and added the individual leaves around it, I then added glossy accents to the bloom and matted and layered onto white and matching green card tying a lemon grosgrain ribbon between the layers.

May Blog Hop - Decorative Score Lines

I used a square 6" x 6" tent folded card and using the Scor-Pal I placed the top corner of the card into the 4" score line I then scored diagonally to the opposite corner and then scored at every inch score line until I had completed half of the card in a triangle shape, I then repeated the scoring from the other top corner.

I used the Wedding Day and the Boxes, Bags and Tags Stamp sets by Papertrey Ink to stamp the card using the Sweet Blush ink. I cut a scalloped circle from the Sweet Blush card stock and A plain circle from the Basic White card stock and stamped these using the above stamp sets.

I finished the card by adding some pale pink pearls and a white net ribbon.

Loving to Stamp

Do you know the time when you are on your own everything is peaceful and no-one around to disturb you? well this is what I love to do with my spare quiet time, create a card for no-one in particular just with ink and stamps building up an image untill I get the look I want.
This stamp set is perfect for that, it is Spiral Bouquet by PTI I love the cleaness of the stamps in this set.

Meet Mabel - Prisma Colouring

A Fun Card
I saw this fun stamp by Art Impressions & thought it would be fun to colour it in bright zingy colours, so, out came the Prisma Pencils and the baby oil to blend the pencil lines.
I loved making this and thinking up some captions to add to it. my family all thought she looked like Sue Pollard (Peggy from Hi de Hi) but for some reason I named her Mabel lol!

Not Quite Floral Punch Craft

Mothers birthday Card
I loved making this card, my loving husband punched out all of the shapes for me from a Pear Punch each petal of the roses are made from 1 punched out pear I then used my bone folder to shape the individual petals then carefully glued them together to form the roses.
I then took other smaller full flower punched shaped and used a ball tool to cup chape them and added tiny pearls to the centre of each flower, the stalks were made by twisting green strips of paper into stalk shapes then glueing the smaller flowers on top the leaves were cut out free hand.
I used the oval nestabilities the scalloped in the same deep red as the rose and the plain oval in the same light cream as the base card.

It's hard to believe
that the shapes from
this pear punch was
made into these
roses

And another...

Woodware flower and leaf maker punches.

Once you start you just can't stop, these are so addictive, made as the earlier cards except I used black card for the leaves so no shading work on them.

Flower & Leaf Maker Punch

I decided to give the Flower Punch another whirl using more dramatic colours and as I'm still having problems with my hands my lovely husband Chris came to the rescue and punched the 2 flower heads out for me.

I used Black archival ink to shade the petals and stamp the DMD Border Stamps.

Leaf & Flower Makers

Woodware Flower and Leaf maker Punches

I punched out the leaves from yellow card stock and shaded themwith chalk inks the flower was punched from a very light pink card stock and buffed the edges of the petals in purple ink, I shaped both the petals and the leaves to give them some dimension.
The spinial vines happened by accident as I had to trim some green card ever so slightly and as I did this the sliver of card a cut away was curling as I trimmed it, I thought it looked quite plant like so added it to both cards cutting more as I needed it.
The border stamp was inked in the same colour that I shaded the petals with.
I cut out an oval shape and heavily shaded the edges then arranged the leaves and flower onto it.

This card was inspired from a card I saw on Peejays blog and loved it. Having had the punches for some time it gave me the push I needed to put them to use.

The leaves started off as a bright yellow card stock I used paintbox fluid chalks to shade in the colouring I needed, then tipped the edges with a gold leaf pen.

Guest Star Stamper Cards

Father Knows Best and a mention from Nichole Heady (Capture the Moment)

I love this set by PTI it has lots of sentiments just perfect for those hard to do Fathers cards and some lovely images to go along with them.

Guest Star Stamper Cards

A fun to make card using PTI Pond Life stamps
Stamped the frog in versamark to create a watermark on the front of the card then cut out an oval aperture. Stamped the tortoise onto white card stock the cut around this and stuck to the front of the card.
The inset picture was stamped onto a piece of card that fit snugly into the inside of the card so that it peeped through the aperture opening, stamped the sentiments and added a couple of clear gems to the corners to finish.

Guest Star Stamper Cards

Garden Of Life Stamps Designed by Alli Miles

I used the leaf to make a background on this card then added stickles to make it stand out, I cut out 2 large circles one slightly larger than the other and punched out a circle from the smaller of the two, using versamark I stamped the leaf pattern all over this smaller circle to create a watermark then fastened both circles together with an eyelet.

I punched out 3 circles from white card stock and stamped some of the flower heads onto these then arranged them on top of the rotating circle. I then stamped through the hole I created all of the different flower heads and attached a ribbon to the side of the hole, this allows you to rotate the top circle to see the other stamped images, I stuck down the rotaing circle onto the main card then added berry accents and stickles glitter to finish.

You can see from the shot below the other flower stamps in this set when the top circle is rotated they peek through where I punched out the circle.

Garden Of Life Stamps Designed by Alli Miles

Using PTI Garden of Life Stamps I stamped 3 of the rose heads down the right hand side of the card then cut around individual petals and raised them slightly to add texture to the card, I then took the same stamp and stamped it onto a seperate piece of white card stock and added the stalk and leaves in a bamboo colour using the same ink and a straight sentiment from the stamp set I curved the sentiment to match the flower stalk, layered this onto matching card stock and added ribbon to the corners, Them using the centre of the flower circles I stamped these in the bamboo ink top and bottom to add contrast, used a little bit of stickles glue to finish.

Lauren & Stuart's Engagement Cake

The finished Engagement Cake
Well I finally got there ready for the Engagement Party on 16th May
I tried to take the picture before the sun went down to get good light but it wasn't to be, so, I hope the shots are good enough for you all to see.

Although you are only seeing a 2 layered cake we do have another just for cutting but that is just a plain one for cutting up

Here I tried to get you a close up of the top display on the cake

Thank goodness it's done

Another Piece of Cake

I started to add the sugar crystals to the Engagement cake for my Daughter, well all I can say is that "it's no easy task to add these little devils to the side of the cake."
I am now the proud owner of a very crunchy kitchen floor and believe me they had spread for miles. Whats worse is you can't see them on the white ceramic tiles.

This is the small heart cake I've yet to tackle the large one.

I think we'll be crunching sugar crystal under our feet till christmastime.

Piece of Cake

So Sweet...
A friends wedding is looming so I thought I'd start to plan out some cards and with Piece of Cake PTI Stamps to the ready I started by stamping the little flowers all over the base card in versamark to create a watermark effect.
On white card I stamped up the cake changing the ink to a darker shade for the flowers and popped the words on in the same ink.
The next piece of white card I shaded in on one corned then stamped a flower all over the opposite corner in the lighter ink then tied a ribbon around the whole piece and knotted at the front.
I finished by adding a few pearls to the centre of the flowers and 3 pearls to opposite corners on the base card.

Garden of Life

Pretty in Pink

I stamped a single flower head all over the base card with a Brilliance (pearlescent orchid) ink pad, using the same flower head and ink I stamped the image twice rotating the 2nd stamping slightly to make a more intense flower when stamping the leaves I touched the edges of the leaf in a deaper green shade. I blened the edges using cut'n'dry foam using the same shade of pink ink.

These bloom head stamps make such quick cards & make such a statement the stamps are by PTI (Garden of Life designed by Alli Miles) I found that arment with the stamps and some pretty ink colours I just couldn't stop playing with them.

Father Knows Best

This little Tree trunk and leaf stamps are just wonderful they allow you to stamp up a variegated looking tree by using different green ink tones, I used the fish bubble stamps from the Pond Life stamp set to add the berries to the tree.

Finished by stamping the sentiment and adding glossy accents to the berries and darker leaves.

then the usual layering up and a ribbon as a finishing touch.

Garden of Life

Papertrey Ink Garden of Life stamps designed by Alli Miles are just wonderful to use, most of the stamps are designed to interact with each other making them perfect for over laying.

I made a simple background by stamping in Palette sweet blush ink on a plain piece of white card stock then I folded another piece of the same card into a small tent fold card and stamped
the front face using 2 of the blossoms from the stamp set.

I notched the back of this card so that I could slot the front piece into the semi circle which is keeping it closed I used the Berry sorbet card stock and ribbon to finish the card.

I also stamped a secret message on the inside of the front card.
