A Bit of Stamping

Demo Day at Imag-e-nation.
Well we had a lovely day, the sun came out to play too, there was a real buzz to the shop, Jim our artist was there showing his painting and colouring skills although he did get through rather a lot of biscuits the greedy lump. there was table top sales and we had ladies selling loads of different crafts.
I managed to stand most of the time but had to give in when I couldn’t bear it no more. Jim the artist found 2 new assistants, two lovely girls who were ever so well behaved.
Check out the lady knitting in the sun, that really tickled me, her stall had some of the most gorgeous wools.
Ellen the shop manager was the hostess with the mostest she makes everyone welcome to the shop and if you have a query she will solve it for you, if she doesn’t know you can guarantee she can find out.
here is a few pictures so you can see what went on.
I only wished I had remembered to get someone to take pictures whilst I demoed but it got so busy that I clean forgot. next time I’ll make sure I get some though.

Swedish Star Student–Washi Tape
I thought I’d get to work showing you how you can put together a pretty card with the Washi Tape from Fantastic Ribbons I love this stuff so simple to use.
I teamed it with Swedish Star Student digi by D’arcy’s Diaries
So no backing papers just Washi Tape here, I used the Candyfloss collection.
I coloured the image with Copic markers and added buttons and ribbons.

Demo Day Sunday 29th July
I will be at Imag-e-nation at Crowther Industrial Estate, Washington, Tyne and Wear, tomorrow demoing Indigo Blu Stamps and mega flakes from 10am till 2pm, I’d love to see you all there. There will be table top sales and totally a fun day out. We’ve even persuaded Jim our Artist at La Pashe to demonstrate his skills.
Here is a little card I put together using the Baroque Christmas Tree.
The center to the bow is from Mei Flower I also used the Brighton Pier Mega flakes and Pan Pastels
Superb Olympics
I was thrilled with the opening to the Olympic games, it depicted the English history and told a story, I sat glued to the TV, I had a few near tears when we remembered those that were no longer with us and Emeli Sandé sang Abide with me,Joyous that children were a major part of the ceremony and a big shout out to Sir Tim Berners-Lee the inventor of WWW as without him I couldn’t be writing this now so I thought very apt that he was there too.
Very sad that Muhammad Ali, a 1960 Olympic gold medallist , came back for the Opening Ceremony and looked so frail (God Bless)
The Olympic cauldron was simply amazing,it was made up of a copper kettle representing each country that was taking part in the games and each kettle was petal shaped and once lit they all joined up to make the cauldron.
You can see it in it’s glory here
Wherever you are in the world good luck in the games.

Potpourri Gardener
My Husband simply loves Sage and Onion Stuffing…. yuck. I think it’s the sage that I dislike but I’m not sure, at Christmas time he cons both My Mam and his own into making him a bowl of the stuff and he eats them all to himself. Christmas gone he even made some himself and of course had to have a practice make but we did have problems buying extra sage to add to the mix.
My Mam is an avid gardener and on Monday produced a large potted sage plant for him to dry his own. There is no escape I tell ya.
This newly released image from Just Inklined is right up my Mams street, Potpourri Gardener.

A Night Out
Well I had a night off on Sunday and my husband took me out, not far just to a place we used to go every Sunday night, I wasn’t drinking unless you can count 2 diet cokes and a J20.
It was lovely to see old friends as it has been 4 years since I had a proper night out, you sort of get stuck in a rut, forgetting what fun it is to socialise, some of our old friends aren’t with us now and it was strange going in to our local and not seeing them sit in their normal seats, you know a week in week out thing.
Another thing that was strange for me was I wore an on the knee skirt without tights or leggings, being a psoriasis sufferer my legs were always in a terrible state so skirts were generally a no no, since being on my injections most of my psoriasis on my legs has cleared up, yes I have loads of scaring but 90% better and I felt confident enough to show a leg.
We even had a game of bingo ha ha, not so funny really as Chris won a line and a full house, I was surprised they didn’t kick us out. I may even try to get back into the habit of having the occasional night out again, I was wished Happy New Year and Happy Birthday, I had to ask which one as it had been so long.
So i thought I would leave you with my tidy ribbons, much tidier than they were, I am still sorting and adding some of my favourite and most expensive ones onto something special to store them and hopefully I’ll be able to show you that real soon.
Not colour co-ordinated but type co-ordinated
my others are on spools in colour gradients so I think I’m getting there.

Mega Flakes, Pan Pastels, Indigo Blu, Oh My!
It does the soul good to play and see what happens, so I got out the Flitter glue, Mega Flakes, Pan Pastels and Poppy Heart By IndigoBlu and started to play.
Pearls and Ribbon Buckle are from Mei Flower my favourite embellishment company.
I used the Brighton Pier Mega flakes on the Poppy Heart stamp you can see it has a fabulous effect on the picture below.
The prayer stamp I’ve had for years and I think it was a Stampendous stamp, I bought at a craft fair.
I had a little hiccup with my making the right choices in food on Saturday, Jack had been baking with his Mam and made both myself and his Grandad a chocolate cornflake cake, I picked the smallest one though and it was simply delishhhhhh.

A Ladies Diary
Basically one of the most beautiful paper pads on the market at the moment, it’s is A Ladies Diary by Graphic 45 and I had to have it, I decided to use it entirely for my card and team it with the beautiful laces from Ribbon Carousel
Isn’t it gorgeous? the image and postcard elements are also inside the paper pad, what's more there isn’t one single paper that I don’t like, they are all gorgeous.
This is just one of the beautiful ladies that is in the pad.
The postcard is on the same page.
this shows 5/8" Natural Crochet Ribbon edging and the 1" Ivory/Light Blue Crochet/Velvet Ribbon
All in all the perfect paper pad available here
