Appointment Update

Well I ended up blubbering like a baby when I saw the consultant, we got off on a bad footing as when I explained all the side effects he smiled and said that is was the normal!

NORMAL? for who?

Then he tried saying that he understood how I felt and knew what I was going through to which I ended up saying "I'm sorry but you have absolutely no idea how I am feeling and what it is like to live with it unless you have psoriasis yourself"

Well the upshot is I had a big decision to make on whether I go onto the biological drug with it's side effects or keep on trying other main stream drugs. I have after talking it through with Chris decided to ask him to request the funding to get me on the drug. In the mean time I will continue taking what I am now.

Fingers Crossed

Well I figured I should be talking this through with my cyber friends so here goes.

Those of you that have been with me for a while will know that I struggle with a psoriasis and with psoriatic arthritis/fibromyalgia, today I am back to see the consultant for my skin, after feeling totally let down by the system and one doctor not talking to the other I was put on a drug called Acitretin basically the drug that I need is so expensive no-one seems to be able to give the go ahead for it. so reluctantly I accepted the Acitretin, only to find out that they can only keep me on this drug for 6 months so basically it is a stop gap drug until they figure out what to do with me.

To my horror I seemed to have every side affect that the drug could offer me and more of a horror reared it's head over the past couple of weeks. I'm starting to loose my hair. It's everywhere I turn, shower, sink, keyboard, desk, shoulders. okay no bald patches as yet but if it keeps coming out at the rate it is now then it is only a matter of time. I do have psoriasis on my scalp but not enough to warrant my hair falling out and the itchiness I am experiencing.

Chris is coming with me today, more for moral support than anything else but hopefully he will be able to get across just how much this is effecting my life now.

So friends please keep your fingers crossed for me to get a good result from the consultant, failing that I'm going to shave my head before the bald patches appear ha ha!

I kept the layout clean and simple for the Waterfall Digital stamp as it is so tranquil I felt that it didn't need a lot of fuss.

Thank You my Friends

It's hard to believe that only a couple of weeks ago I realised that I was nearing 1 million visitors to my blog I really can't thank you all enough.
We have shared so much on here and without all of your support, comments, kind wishes and encouragement this would not have been possible.
You've not only shared my love of craft but you have been with me through some of the most difficult moments in my life, the loss of my Dear Dad, to name but one of them.
Then the joys of becoming a Gran to Baby Jack who incidentally is 1 years old today, wow that year just whizzed by.
So my dear, dear friends this is a very big grateful thank you to each and every one of you.

Now for a card, meet Ethel and Cecil new digital stamps by Just Inklined, they are sold seperately but i thought these two would be just perfect together as an Anniversary card, just look at that poor guy, wat a hoot! he's ever so the hen pecked husband.

All of the digital stamps by Just Inklined have a transparent background it makes them much easier to merge together. all of the images are easily opened up in Microsoft word.

Project of the Month - Fairytale

Its that time again and this Month and the theme A fairytale for the Blog hop was chosen by Elaine
We will hold this every third Thursday of the month , we aim to give you a little inspiration and hopefully a few Oooo's and Awe's along the way.

The Dream Team is made up with some of the most talented ladies so be sure to give them all a visit starting with Elaine

You should have landed on my blog from Lori

Ok I admit it, I choose a lullaby but it is as dreamy as a fairytail so I figured I could get away with it.

The inside of the card little flower and a bit of faux stitching also the poem is added.

Below is the wonderful lullaby of Wynken, Blynken and Nod

WYNKEN, BLYNKEN, AND NOD

Wynken, Blynken, and Nod one night sailed off in a wooden shoe-
Sailed on a river of crystal light, into a sea of dew.
"Where are you going, and what do you wish?" The old moon asked the three.
"We have come to fish for the herring fish that live in this beautiful sea;
Nets of silver and gold have we?"
Said Wynken, Blynken, And Nod.

The old moon laughed and sang a song, as they rocked in the wooden shoe,
And the wind that sped them all night long ruffled the waves of dew.
The little stars were the herring fish that lived in that beautiful sea-
"Now cast your nets wherever you wish-Never afeard are we";
So cried the stars to the fishermen three:
Wynken, Blynken, And Nod

All night long their nets they threw to the stars in the twinkling foam-
Then down from the skies came the wooden shoe, bringing the fishermen home;
'Twas all so pretty a sail it seemed as if it could not be,
And some folks thought 'twas a dream they'd dreamed of sailing that beautiful sea-
But I shall name you the fishermen three:
Wynken, Blynken, And Nod.

Wynken and Blynken are two little eyes, and Nod is a little head,
And the wooden shoe that sailed the skies is the wee one's trundle-bed.
So shut your eyes while mother sings of wonderful sights that be,
And you shall see the beautiful things as you rock in the misty sea,
Where the old shoe rocked the fishermen three:
Wynken, Blynken, And Nod

Be sure to pop over to Liza next I just know she will have something amazing to show you.
If you get lost along the way I have a full list of the Design Team on my side bar.

Happy Hopping!
