Beautiful Butterflies Liftables

Hunkydory beautiful butterflies, did you get yours from my last shows?

I hope you managed to get them. I thought I would play a little bit more when I got home, I love colouring and faffing with paper but the beauty of the Liftables is if you don't want to faff you don't have to.

First a bit of cutting, I thought I would just cut and see what happens.

I was pretty pleased with how this one turned out.

The next is from one of my shows.

This was another from my shows but I decided to add some colour to the butterflies with the Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens

A close up of the simplicity of this card, let's call it child play.

Now while I had the sparkle pens in my hands I thought I would keep going and made this.

So very vibrant, just adding water and saturating the background before adding one or two drops from the Sparkle pens.

The next is using Copic pens and pan pastels

Adorable Scorable with Alcohol Inks

After using the Brusho Art Paints, I suddenly realised that I could get a stunning vibrant effect using the Hunkydory Adorable Scorable and Alcohol Inks. well I wasn’t wrong, I decided to use colours that I would normally shy away from and used yellows and orange and I’m thrilled with the effect.

After such a stressful few weeks it was good to get in the craft room and experiment, I truly champion Adorable Scorable by Hunkydory, if you haven’t yet tried it then you are missing out, quality smooth coated 350gsm card stock with flexible ink that is amazing.

I used cotton white Adorable Scorable to stamp and ink onto and cut some small slithers from the mellow sage colour to make spiral foliage.

I’m back at Create and Craft from Monday with a fabulous deal of new Hunkydory sets at 9am and 6pm Sky Chanel 674.

One Image Four Looks

I just wanted to show the value of Digital Stamps, in this day every penny counts so the more use we get from our crafty goods the better. I love that with both digital stamps and rubber stamps you can change colours and get further inspiration from the colour change.

This one is Pucker Up from Mo’s Digital Pencil and shows this colour change perfectly.

Pucker up1

The first being brown toned hair, keeping the skin tones tanned and green eyes and vest top.

Pucker up2

Next up is the red head, keeping a fairer complexion with hazel eyes and an aqua coloured vest top.

Pucker up3

Next comes blonde hair, pale complexion, baby blue eyes and a wine coloured vest top

Lighthouse–From the Heart Stamps

I’m not sure what it is that draws me to Lighthouse images, maybe because when I was young I used to watch the Lighthouse from my bedroom window when I should have been sleeping blinking on and off guiding the sea vessels safely on their way or maybe because I lost a brother to the sea but I love them.

This Lighthouse digital Stamp by From the Heart Stamps is amongst my favourites, it also comes with a couple of sentiments too.

FTHS_Lighthouse1

I used a pitt pastel pencil (chalk pencil) for the guiding light and I think it worked well.

Bird Brew

With valentines just around the corner many of us struggle to find a card for our partners that isn’t pink or red or one that is gushing with soppiness but says how we feel about them.

I think Birdbrain Brew at From the Heart stamps will do very nicely.

FTHS_Birdbrain Brew1

Coloured with Copic Markers and Chalk Pencils, I also used some liquid applique on the froth, Buttons, Raffia and matting and layering to make the card complete.

This image Broked from Mo’s Digital Pencil does just that.

I felt that this card needed to be clean and simple.

The sentiment comes with the image and is perfect for it.

Last week while I was in Peterborough I bought a new pillow, I had been awaking on a morning with such pain in my neck and head and believe me I had bought and tried so many pillows trying to find some comfort, I used the powers of Facebook and I had so many people recommended the Dunlopillo that I decided to test it out, I found it in John Lewis a couple of different ones so I asked the assistant if I could try them, although a little hesitant I persuaded her to clear one of the display beds and there I was in the middle of a busy shop testing all of the pillows.

The result is 5 nights good sleep and no discomfort in the morning, a little discomfort to my purse as it was £60.00 eeeek! But to be honest I’d of paid double to get a comfy sleep.
