La Pashe - Flippin' Decoupage

Tomorrow is a new launch in the Flippin' Decoupage Range by La Pashe

I will be on Create and Craft chanel 671 from 2-4pm and I'd love you all to join me there, better still send in an email to be read out live on air so I can give you a wave, it's lovely getting an email from someone you know.

I know you will love the new series as it is fun, fun, fun

I've scheduled a few cards that are in the series so you will be able to see a close up of them and on show I'll be showing a few out of the box (so to speak) ways to make up the cards.

Cuttlebug Butterfly and Nestabilities

I posted earlier today to show your how everyday things give me inspiration, the colour of the rose gave me the start of this card.
I used the Cuttlebug cut and emboss butterfly the nestabilities ovals and a pretty flourish stamp by Papertrey Ink.
Not a bit of ribbon to be seen.

The cuttlebug butterfly, pearls were added to form the body.

A close up shot showing the flourish heat embossed with with powder.

The Beauty of a Rose

I find that many things that surround me inspire me to be creative so I thought I would share something with you all.
I bought some flowers last week and they were headed for the refuse bin this week and when I turned the vase this little rose was still quite beautiful I admire the make up of nature, the texture of each petal has a velvety appearance that make you want to touch it.
It got me started on thinking how clever this rose was to have such a beautiful bloom and yet such a prickly stem to protect it's growth.
If you click on the picture below it will enlarge the photograph for you

Flourish Overlay

I've fussed around so much with this card to try to get a good picture that I've just give up and added this one to show you all.
The flourish was stamped on acetate before adding to the base card, it was stamped with white stazon ink.
The hearts were cut with the Nestabilities dies the I heat embossed a heart stamp onto the Aqua coloured heart with white embossing powder and added the hearts to the card using foam pads.
To finish the card I added punched flowers and leaves, a few pearls and a sheer ribbon.

Blog Candy Stamp Sets

Competition to win a Stamp set designed and made by myself.
Below is a sample of the set and I have 2 of them up for grabs

So I guess you need to know how to win yourself a set of the stamps.

All you need to do is guess what my favourite flower is, I have featured and talked about it many times, those that guess correctly will be eligible to win the name will be put into a hat and 2 lucky winners will receive the stamp sets.

The competition will close Midnight Sunday 26th April 2009

Below is some of the cards I have made with the Stamp set

Flourshed Gold on White

I used a flourish stamp wheel by Stamping Up and white embossing powder on the base card you can just about see it on the right of the image under the tied bow this really pops and gives the card a wonderful detail.
The main stamp by Impression Obsession was heat embossed with glod detail powder then mounted on top of gold mirri card then added to the card after tying a sheer gold ribbon around the middle of the card.

Click on the image below for a more details view of the embossed basae card.

Floral Stamp

One of my own stamp sets was used to create this card, I made another card in monotone a while back using the same stamp set click here to see it.
I used the Birthday Wishes down the side of the base card and staped the flower on the nestabilities oval shapes then using the leaves from the set stamped them at the corners os the card and used a pretty matching ribbon to finish the card.

Ollyfant Little Piggy

Ollyfants on the farm range stamps coloured with Copic markers, I couldn't resist printing a quote from the This little Piggy nursery rhyme onto the base card I over layered two more papers onto the base card after punching a fancy edge then tying a ribbon around them.
Finishing with a white blossom in the corner.

Ollyfant playing with Kitty

Another image from the Ollyfant stamp range I love this little man playing with the kitty so I thought I'd practice the lilac colours, I found this one quite easy by adding the deepest purple card stock as a base card again coloured with the Copic pens.

Saturday 18 April 2009

Ollyfant Bathing Beauty

This is another stamp from the Ollyfant stamp sets all coloured with Copic Markers, I've had some of these markers for a while but never really used them so they were dusted off and dragged out of the draw and a few more colour bought to add to my collection and I set too.
Blending with copics takes practice so if you are thinking of giving them a whirl be prepared to make mistakes.
The white base card was embossed with the Stylised flowers Cuttlebug folder and the other papers added were punched with border punches from Kreaxions and EK Success.

Baby Gift - Rubberstamp Tapestry

A special Baby gift box using Rubberstamp Tapestry Baby stamp set, all stamped using Versacolor ink cubes and the heart shapes are the Nestabilities hearts, this set is a must have.
The box was made using 20 x 20cm sized card.
So now you have seen the special box you need to know what special gift is inside it.
see pictures below.

A close upshot of the front of the box as you can see the corners of the gift box has been stamped with the same pretty flower stamps from the Baby set by Rubberstamp Tapestry

I carried the colours over into the box lid and wrapping the gift in pale pink mulberry paper

A close up shot of the emblem stamped onto the Onsie (baby vest)
Stamped with versacolor ink then heat set with an iron.

All opened, so cute

The darling little stamp, inked with versafine and watercoloured

Attention to detail, little crochet flowers they may not be perfect but I made them all by myself and not bad for a finger knitter girl! Ha Ha
