Heart were cut with the Nestabilities cutting 2 of the scalloped and one of the plain heart shapes.
The plain heart was then stamped with a heart stamp made by Impression Obsession and heart embossed with ranger gold fine detail embossing powder and heat set then distressed the edges of the heart.
The larger scalloped heart was embossed using the Swiss dots cuttlebug folder.
The base card is a chocolate shade then a gold square slightly smaller cut and punched at the corners using a 3 in 1 punch
Layered is all up with foam pads and finished with a gold edged ribbon

Harrogate craft fair

I'm off out for the Day with my Mam, we are going to Harrogate Craft Fair and my wonderful brother is to be the chauffeur as I didn't fancy the long drive with a sore hand, mind you there is definitely an improvement this morning.

As I won't be around today I have some exciting free downloads planned for tonight including to Build a Blossom, Polka dot and a Flourish sheet.

Misty Meadow

I had a little play with a couple of sprig stamps and in doing so I have learned that I can also sponge edges with my left hand too, I'm getting to be quite ambidextrous.
the base card is a spring green colour then I layered a paper by HOTP on top folding opposite corners and adding a ribbon below it before sticking it onto the base card.
I took a separate piece of the green card and sponged the corners with a blue in then using the same ink I stamped the sprigs and the sentiment from PTI.
I distressed the edges and cut a couple of slits in the card to thread through the ribbon and tied it at the edge

Left Handed Stamping

Well this is my first card for a good while and as the title says I hand to stamp it with my left hand I only did a little bit of stamping and it was a succession of mistakes on my first few tries but I got there in the end.
Tomorrow I'll post my second card as I still need to put it all together although I got a bit more adventurous and tried left handed cuttlebugging lol!
the papers added to the card below are by Glitterami and the stamps are from the sale-a-bration by Stamping Up
As you can probably guess my hands are slightly better although still quite a challenge to make cards.

Today is my Birthday

21 again (cough) I'm going to work this morning as we are so very busy there. Normally I would book the day off as a holiday as I get quite embarrassed at the whole Happy Birthday thing, why?... I'm not sure.

I have received some fabulous cards from friends and family which I will show you all later.

My strangest present is a couple of Telephone tables from Chris (husband) not his idea but mine as my Mam bought me a beautiful unusual vase and humongous flowers in rich browns and creams and I needed something nice t stand them on as a focal point.

Shocking News

Well today I had to go out and buy a Mothers Day card, I had made one with a friend for my Mam but intended making one for my Mother in Law but unfortunately my hands are still not working.

Silly thing is I have a pile of cards but none that she hasn't seen already, now some good did come of it as I bought a hand made card that someone else had put the work into so at least I still did my bit for us crafters.

I'm thinking now that maybe a trip to the doctors should be made but it will have to wait untill next week.

Got my Cake and Ate it.

This is my Birthday cake that the gang at work bought me, it was really funny as they thought my Birthday was Mothering Sunday so thought I'd be off work.
Actually it's Monday so that means we will just have to have another cake for Monday now now isn't that a shame.

This is the not so flattering photo of me trying to blow out the candles on my cake, that may sound an easy task but..... they were the type that everytime you blew it out it re-lit grrrrrrr.

The young lad in the background is Nigel, he is one of our newest employee's at work and he just happens to be the nicest young man you could wish to meet.

Taking it's toll

I have got a bit of a problem going on.

Last week I was off work as we were getting new windows and doors fitted at home the problems started as soon as the cold hit me, I kept requesting the men to close doors inside the house due to the cold drafts but unfortunately it landed on deaf ears.

I was diagnosed around 6 years ago with psoriatic arthritis and fibromyalgia and as a result of the cold throughout the house that my feet and hands are so painful that I could chop them off. I have no grip in either of my hands so I am unable to make a card at the moment.

I'm hoping that this is just temporary and that I get some pain relief real soon.

I also managed to smash one of my favorite coffee mugs because I just couldn't hold it.

I have decided to bring forward my free downloads 1 week early because of this so keep everything crossed for me to be back to normal next week.

so starting tomorrow I will be posting some goodies for you all to try out.

Stamping Up Card - It's Beautiful

Have I ever told you I struggle with any shade of purple? well I do, I never seem to like a card that I make from purple to the shade pale lavender.
I thought I would try to break the habit of this and try another one.
This was made using the Stamp Wheel It's Beautiful by Stamping Up, the base card is white then on a piece of pale lavender card I used the stamp wheel with versamark and white embossing powder I used the cuttlebug to emboss across the top of the card then tied a white ribbon just below the embossed pattern.
I used the round Nestabilities to cut the two circles and stamped one of the images from the Stamping Up Silhouettes. the scalloped edge on the pale lavender card was made using the fiskers threading water punch.
