No wish to craft

I don’t know what happened, I made my last card on 26th December, I had previously coloured the image days before, I started the mammoth task of tidying my craft room and everything just left me, it’s still not complete, I just couldn't face crafting, I felt down in the mouth and damn well lost.

Not knowing what to do on an evening, bored with television but just could not face getting any craft out, not even wanting to colour which I adore doing.

I contemplated just giving up, I felt quite depressed at the thought of messing the house up again as no matter how I try, it over spills into all of the rooms, Chris kept encouraging me to get my pens out but I just couldn’t face it.

Over the last 3 or 4 days I felt utterly depressed, deep, deep sighs, wanting to go to bed constantly tired.

Last night I forced myself to stay up later and get out my pens, I sat in the near darkness and started to colour, one image finished, move onto the next, move onto the third one, before I new it I had 3 images coloured, I put all of the pens away again cleared the table and looked at what I had achieved.

I’m hoping today to move onto the next stage of turning them into cards. Baby steps is needed here.

Thank you all my crafty friends for sticking with me and popping in to see if I have created anything to show you all.

This is the colourings I did last night.

Wish me luck in making cards today xxx

Plain Sailing

I’ve really struggled to make a card this last week or so, you get times like that don’t you? life gets so busy and on top of the hustle and bustle of life we nearly have Christmas upon us.

I was lucky enough to get the cold that has been doing it’s round and I still have the hacking cough to prove it, you know the type, the one that waits until you have warmed up in bed then starts until you are so hot and bothered from coughing that you fling the blankets off only to freeze your nads off later. Hey Ho.

So I needed something to ease me back into colouring and this ticked all of the boxes.

Galleon from Just Inklined it is a pencil lined digital stamp and the beauty of this is that the shading in the stamp helps immensely when colouring, it makes it so easy to colour.

Gallion1

I coloured this one with Copic markers as I only have a limited palette in Graph’It although I will add more to my range because I love them.

I used chalk pencils to create the sky.

Gallion2

Clean and simple style with a little bit of designer paper and a button and hemp cord.

Angelina’s Balloons

As a child I remember rubbing a balloon on my hair to make the balloon static and sticking it on walls, on someone's back or anywhere that I could get it to stick. Of course my children did it too and in fact their Dad (Chris) still does it, I don’t think he will ever grow up ha ha!

Angelina’s Balloons from Mo’s Digital Pencil

Angelinas balloons1

I made an easel card with the image as I really didn’t know where I was going with it, I first punched out the heart on the card with the image and tied a bow around the top, knowing that it needed something else I matted it with blue card and then it sat there on my desk for a little while, I often do this, mainly because once I start colouring I get so carried away that I end up colouring several images up. So this was the one I played with a little until I was happy.

Angelinas balloons2

I coloured her in Blue, did you know that way way back Pink was a boys colour and Blue a girls?

Bubble Heart by Mo Manning

When I was younger I used to chew Anglo Chewing Gum, much to my Mams dismay, you could stretch it right out and twirl (swing) it around your finger, making sure your finger was wet enough for it not to stick to it, you could stretch it over your tongue and nip it between your lips and your teeth and suck inwards to make the most refreshing clacking noise and of course you could blow the most mahousive bubble that would burst and stick to your face.
However all of this said I wish I’d come up with this idea, Anglo bubble gum would have been just perfect for it.

Coloured with Copic markers and chalk pencils.

Winter Fairy Manty

Did you know that mostly I do not like illustrated fairy’s? I always feel there is something just not quite right about them, it could be that they don’t seem to come up to my expectations that I have in my memories of thinking about them as a child, yet when Mo Manning draws them I simply love them, I think it is the real childlike look that Mo captures, the little tubby tummy and navel.

Coloured with Copic markers and Chalk pencils, Wording cut out on my silhouette portrait.

I could just pinch this little one.
Winter Fairy Manty3
I added a few babs of glitter glue to finish along with some dew drops, stick pins, gems from Mei Flower and a pretty ribbon.
