I always start something thinking it is a good idea and this was one of those projects, the pine cones are made using the small pear punch 20 pears to be precise moulding and shaping each pear then a large blob of silicone or glue gel and then building up the pear shapes in layers until you have a pine cone.
So the first cone was born then the reality set in that I had another 2 to make and also I needed something to represent the needles.
The needles were made with a fern punch and I cut off all if the little leaves until I was left with spikes.

Absolutely stunning Jak, and then some! I wish you could get onto C&C with your punched floral craft, perhaps we all should write begging letters to them and direct them to your blog for a lookm I am sure they would be as bowled over as we all are!

Hey, I know exactly how to do 'em now! I was browsing my Susan Tierney Cockburn book last night and what did I find on page 94? This is certainly a great interpretation Jak and I standby my earlier comment ....
When I've catologued the punches I have I'll be getting a shopping list together - if I need to - lol!!
Ah this is so beautiful Jak. A perfect mens card. My son and husband are forever picking up pine cones for the Bonfire nights. My son is only 5 and loves the fires so we have them more regularly then most, as a fun family activity.
