Penny Black Stamp - Mother card

A watercolour technique is used to create the Penny Black Curlicue real flower stamp image that you see on this card, I used water colour felt tipped pens to colour directly onto the rubber stamp I then sprayed the stamp with a fine mist of water a couple of sprays then stamp onto the card, this gives the effect of hand painted flowers, now isn't that amazing?
I layered up with Nestabilities and a pretty Once upon a time paper.
I used a previously made up blossom and added a ribbon to finish.

I just love that background paper. The flower image is beautiful - I really must try this. Does it need to be on watercolour paper I'm wondering?
There is an award on my blog that I'd like to share with you if I may. I'm sure I won't be the only one nominating you for it - I hope you'll accept.

Another beautiful card Jak, the image matches that gorgeous backing paper perfectly. I have tried using markers straight onto my stamp but had never thought of spritzing it with water afterwards, thanks for the tip.

Beautiful card Jak, love it.
I went to a class a couple of years ago and we did that technique using pigment pads and spritzing, the result looked very like yours. I must give it a go with marker pens now. Thanks for sharing your lovely creations once again.
