And Finally... Santa Collage

I finally found time to make the last of my Christmas cards and what a better way to finish than with old St Nicholas himself I think this has to be my favourite Christmas stamp of all (Santa Collage) the flourish and sentiment image are from a Papertrey ink stamp set (Silent Night)

Attention to detail...

I added heavy lace under the stamped image and on the base card I used a Stampin Up wheel with a holly stamp and heat embossed with gold detail powder.

On the image below you can see that I wrapped a gold thread around the right hand side of the card, the sizzix bigz floral die was glittered along with the punched out snowflake for extra texture.

You're my Best

Couldn't you just snuggle up and give him a hug.
I tried to keep the colour matching with card and papers to the Promarker colours I used.
The image digital stamp image is from Digital Pencil Too and is called You're my Best.
Lots of layering to mount the image a pretty paper from Stampin Up and ribbon to finish.

Attention to detail...

I added shadows in a shade darker pens to areas that needed it.

If you click on the image it will enlarge and give you a better view of this.

Bye Bye - Off to Granny's

I thought these images from Digital pencil Too would make a perfect GrandMother card, it reminded me so much of my 2 girls running over to their Nanna's to raid the cake tin lol!
On another note it would also make a great fun wedding cardwith a note saying and they lived happily ever after.

Attention to detail...

I matched the inside of the gatefold card in the same theme as the front edging the insert with red gingham amd using the scallop border punch to give a fancy edge.

The little flowers were punched out from a corner punch I have, I dotted the centre of the flowers in red glued them in place and using a white pen dashed some faux stitching.

I love the detail in these images the Bye bye girl has a ladybug backpack and the Bye bye boy has a car backpack cute, cute, cute.

Coexist - Fur Fear

I have to say this is one of the scariest projects I have done the digi image is by Mo Manning and is called Coexist and doesn't it just make you say "awe"?
Well I have been dying to give this one a go but I have a fur fear, no not really, just the thought of how to tackle colouring it sent me in a spin. I wasn't going to let it beat me so here is my result.
Teamed with 2 pretty papers a ribbon and a button to finish.

Attention to detail...

So I thought I would give the attention to detail to the fur.

I did colour with Promarkers but I just wasn't getting the effect that i was after so I remembered what Jim Harker (artist for La Pashe) told me.

He said "there is no law against mixing mediums" so that is exactly what I did, I used watercolour pencils on top of the Promarkers and I have to say that I am quite chuffed with the result

I'd love to hear your comments on this one, I love reading them

Jordan Multitasking - Joint Effort

Can you remember Lauren? "eldest daughter, Mother of Jack" well from being old enough to pick stuff up she has always had to have a try of everything she saw, as she got older I was always threatening to chop her fingers off if she touched my craft stash and I thought she would grow out of it "but"no!
This time she asked if she could colour in one of my digi stamps from Digital Pencil too as Jack lay sleeping on Friday afternoon I asked what she was going to colour it in with and she pointed gingerly to my Promarker stash, I said she could but only if she returned each one to when she got the from as I have them all in order.
I was so impressed that I thought it warranted a card being made.

Now I think the girl did good, first try of Promarkers too, it just goes to show that you don't need to be an expert when teamed with a good image by Mo and a set of Promarkers.

Friend to Friend

A chocolate card base and pretty paper and some cream card embossed using the Victoria A2 Cuttlebug folder.

Attention to detail...

A fancy paper fold with a double sided paper, a diagonal concertina fold.

The flower was a mishap, I cut off the stem and the centre bud dropped out so I used a bead and a gold finding to replace it.

Paper- Bella Bleu (Stampin Up), Card - Papermill Shop

Embossing - Victoria A2 Folder (Cuttlebug), Stamp - Stampin Up

Christmas Reindeer

This card was made for work, well sort of, I was trying to explain the uses of Versamark ink to a work collegue, explaining that you can use it as a watermark or use embossing powder with it and said I was do a couple of samples, so I did the samples of each then got carried away in making this one into a card.
After cutting the layers of patterned paper I distressed the edges with a red distress ink and a sponge.

Attention to detail...

The ribbon is a two toned ribbon in red and green from a local Craft shop.

You can see on the image below how I picked out the dotted swirl from the patterned paper and used stickles glitter glue to make it pop, you can aslo see the green nailhead at the edge of the punched out point.

Stamp - Papermania

Patterned Paper- Graphic 45

Border Punch -Martha Stewart

embelishments - Stickles Glitter glue and nail head gems from my stash

Card - Papermill shop

Ink - Ranger Distress Ink Red Brick

Christmas Robins

I can't claim fame for this fun card, it was a make and take from Joanne at Mainly Flowers, all of the components and instructions were added into a Stampin Up order from her to make up.

You can see from this photo that the Robin was made with a circle punch the redbreast is another punched circle punched again to remove part of the circle, the wing and beak is the petal of a pointed flower and a google eye to finish. Legs are hand drawn.

Trendy Trees - Stampin Up

A card made with the Trendy trees Stamp set by Stampin Up.
I was actually sitting in my craft room testing out a new light fitting whilst making this card.

Did you know that you can get a Daylight Strip Fitting light? I didn't until around a week ago.
It looks like a slimline fluorescent tube and it isn't at all expensive, A 4 foot slimline tube for around £6 I took this picture of the card under the same light, very impressed with it.

Attention to Detail...

I punched the border from the same Kraft card that I used for the base then used the reverse side of the paper and cut a strip and glued this across the top of the border, I then tied a green ribbon around it before stamping the sentiment then stuck this near the bottom of the card.

I left a bit of interest by leaving one of the trees bare, the leaves and the trunks of the trees are separate in this set.

I used a Koi water brush to drag some of the colour from the base of the trunks to add shadow then topped with a bit of glitter to add a bit of bling.

Ingrediants.

Stamps, from Stampin Up (Trendy Trees)

Papers, Stampin Up (Bella Bleu)

Tools, Stamp a jig Stampin Up, Border Punch Marths Stewart (Drippy Goo)
