Floods in the Northeast (Newcastle)

Jeepers we had some weather going on in Tyne and Wear, late afternoon the sky turned black at work, we all even went outside to look at the sky, it was weird, so heavy.

These are some of the latest pictures from our area.

Oh wow Jak, what an awful time for you all in Tyne, hope all are safe and it has not caused too much damage. We here in Cheshire have had a mixed bag of weather today, very hot and humid, and like April downpours, some thunder but that only lasted for a couple of rumbles.
Take care xxxxxxx

hi Jak, we are in the north east as well, durham area, i have never seen so much water the roads have been ripped to pieces we just about needed a boat, quite a few shops in our village and houses have been flooded. My son works at willington and the school was flooded there, he went to work at 6am to help the cleaners get cleaned up.

Took Sean's partner five hours to get from Newcastle to Middlesbrough. She left work at 4p.m. because the weather was getting so bad and got home after 9p.m. - with legs firmly crossed!!

Glad you're ok Jak.I'm the other side in ferryhill Station & we had the torrential rain & storms, but not as bad as your area. still not pleasant as 2 of our dogs were so frightened. One friend on a group is spending all weekend cleaning up, countless cards for orders ruined, her home is a mess:(
