The one I Restored

I told you earlier about the photo’s that I restored this is the one that was badly damaged in the bombing, I had to build up the right side of his face again, I’m so happy that I did this as this is my  Grand Father in his teen years and is the only photograph we have of him in the teens.

Simply love this era.

Great job Jak. You're so lucky to have any photos, damaged or otherwise.

My Mum destroyed a lot of photos, including many of me and my brother in our teen years and of my Dad in the army during the war. There's none at all of my Mum & Dad as children and only one token one of my grandparents on both sides. Mum lived for the present only (the past was over and done and no longer mattered in her mind) and decided that everyone else had to as well but - there were hundreds of pics of my sons so I've now got them duplicated as most of them came from me in the first place.

Jak you did a great job restoring it as far as I know there are no photo's of my grandparents unless my cousins have any & I am not in contact with any of them everyone just drifted apart

Beautifully done, Jak. You can be proud of it. I started doing that for my husband of his family and it is the most rewarding thing I have ever done.

Jak what a surprise, my Mums maiden name was Cummings, and she had a brother George Cummings, now how strange is that !!!!! You sure have done a good job there. Luv Ursula XX
