Edwardian Chocolate Caramel

Stared with a base card in chocolate then mad an overlay in the caramel colour and cut the edges using the oval Nestabilities I stamped one side with the leaves from PTI (Beautiful Blooms) and the other using the Edwadian Couple Stamp that was bought for me by a friend, both were stamped with brushed corderoy Distress ink, I took a damp brush and blended parts on the couple image. I used the cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder to emboss a piece of the chocolate card and layered it all up and tying a chocolate ribbon around the caramel coloured card.
Using the same colours of card I made a daisy for the centre piece,

Pastel meets Black

I decided to give the Remember Stamp set a whirl in some different colours this time and used chalk inks by versamagic I wasn't sure what colour card I was going to have and at first tried the aqua mist colour as a base card but it wasn't giving me the impact I was looking for, then a piece of the aqua mist ribbom was laying on some black card so I took the design from there.
I love the fact that the Black and the aqua mist look so dramatic together.

Remembering To Thank You

A new Stamp set from PTI - Remember. I used the Cuttlebug to emboss the Swiss Dots onto the base card then layered the PTI Red card on top after adding the scalloped edge. Using white card stock I stamped the Poppies with Pure Poppy ink and added the green vines onto a seperate piece, cut ot the poppies and layered then on top of the vines I edged this card with red lines to simulate a stitched edge. I wrapped the top knotch ribbon around the card and tied into a knot.
I finished by cutting 2 circles with Nestabilities and stamping the sentiment onto the white one and added a ribbon between the layers.

All products used are from Papertrey Ink

Floral Punch Craft - Rhodadendrun

This one was very time consuming but I loved the end result.
It was made with the Sakura flower punch and the stamen is the Cosmos punch, the flowers were made up then using a half polystyrene ball I added the flowers one by one the trick to this is balancing the flowers as when adding one the previous one tends to drop off (great fun)
I scored the base card using the scor-pal on a diagonal and added the pearls and the ribbon to finish.

I punched 2 holes through the top of the cd case with a cropodile and slotted through some white ribbon and to finish added pearls to the center of the blossoms.

In the Pink with Floral Punch Craft

As I said Yesterday, I fell in love with making the Peony Rose.
This time I used the Stylised Flowers A2 Cuttlebug folder to emboss the base card I punched out a half flower shape at the top of the card at both sides and tied a ribbon around it to finish.

Floral Punch Craft - Peony

I've fell in love with this flower, it was made by using an apple punch to create the petals then some pinching and shaping before putting them together, the leaves are made with the grape leaf punch and scoring the veins.

I embossed the base card using the Oval Nestabilities and then cut some in contrasting colours to mat and layer, using the swiss dots A2 folder by Cuttlebug I embossed the bottom of the card then stamped a sentiment by Papertrey Ink and finished by tying a matching ribbon and adding a bow

A closer look at the Peony

I used the Stacking Crystals by McGill to create the snowflakes down the side of the card the red and gold snowflakes is a sticky backed material the sentiment is stamped using a Penny Black stamp ( unfortunately I tend to break into song every time I use it ) I stacked this using Nestibilities, I finished off by tying a ribbon around the card.

Floral Punch Craft - Queen Annes Lace

This was a tricky little devil to make, balancing the tiny flowers on the tip of the greens was a great challenge as they kept tipping to the side believe you me there was some choice words flying about. The base card was embossed with stylised flower A2 cuttlebug folder then a patterned paper added to the edge, the rectangles were cut with the Nestabilities dies then a sentiment cut out with a word punch all layered and a ribbon added and tied at the edge and last but not least I added the flower with some glue gel.

A card from a friend

I received this beautiful card from a talented friend Katie whom I met through Papertrey Ink.
It is made in candy colours and is good enough to eat. I love receiving cards from Katie as she always writes me a letter inside which is lovely and makes me smile.

Nephew's Wedding Day

The Wedding of Craig and Claire

Well we had a sun filled day so we were blessed as the weather of late could have made this day so very different.
Both Bride and Groom were radiant and enjoyed their special day.

The 2 best dressed boys my great Nephews Dylon who is 3 in December who is quite the whirlwind when trying to get a picture of him and Layton born 8th July dressed in the tiniest waistcoat and cravat.

Chris was Usher and looked quite dapper, Natalie kept me company while her Dad was doing his duties.

The Reception
The reception was at Lumley Castle which is full of wondrous images I couldn't resist taking pictures of the walls and the ceiling and heard many a comment like "I bet we see some of them shots in a card form" ha ha well maybe we will.
The first image below was in a corridor that we had to walk through to get to the reception room although some thought it was spooky I found it all quite charming.
If you click on the pictures of the ceiling and walls you will see just how beautiful the plaster work is.

The Bridal Suite
The first 2 pictures I couldn't resist I think the toilet was made for midgets it was so low and the second picture just totally cracked me up this was the comic mags hanging on the back of the door.

Craig striking a pose for me and the champagne bucket with the strawberry filled glasses

the room was filled with character
