Day 3 in the Big Plan

The pipes have been diverted to the opposite wall for the shower and the floor has new wood ready for tiling, the pipe for the heated towel rail are also in place.
Mainly Prep work for tomorrow has been done today.
I did tell Neil that you wanted a front view of him but I think he's shy, maybe tomorrow. but the electrician Paul wasn't hiding, in fact he was posing if you care to read further down.

So I now have a lovely painted white ceiling and the wiring is done for the light and the square box on the wall is my extractor fan, so now when Natalie turns the bathroom into a steam room with a quick shower that turns into a 40 minute one hopefully most of the steam will be sucked through that baby.

So today was the day that Paul was coming to fit the extractor fan, now Chris took a picture for me as I was still at work and he was here in the morning. Chris joked when he handed me the camera saying he was striking a pose that I would recognise.

Now forgive me if I'm seeing things but talk about Love is in the Air add Paul drilling and what do you get?
Yep he's a dead ringer for Cupid don't you think?

Sorry Paul I couldn't let it pass without giving you wings and a halo.

Day Two in the Big Plan

I marked the points of interest with arrows so you wouldn't miss anything.
I now have some walls again poor Neil stopped late to get the wall skimmed for Paul tomorrow who will fit the extractor fan you can see where it will be going by the hole in the wall to mark it for him tomorrow.
Neil will be skimming the rest of the walls to finish them and hopefully get the shower tray in place too.

As you can see the loo has been fitted back so we could pee before bed time.

Well it wouldn't be a proper job if there wasn't a builders bum shot now would it, I have to say that Neil did threaten not to fit the loo back for the night if I blogged this so I thought I would wait until he'd left to show it to you.

This picture is blurred as I got a bit boggle eyed trying to hold the camera still ha ha.

until tomorrow.

New bathroom - and so the work begins.

It is something that we have been planning for a while now. I know the bathroom is the size of a walk in closet but is was a closet that was desperately in need of a make over.
The plan was to get rid of the bath, we only used the bath to step into to have a shower so it was just crazy to keep it.
From there we decided on a quadrant shower unit, the largest we could get that would fit into the bathroom, a new vanity and handbasin and of course a new loo. Wall tiles and floor tiles and it would be completed, of at least that was the plan.
So the work started today and I took the easy option of going to work, in fact what I should have done was stay at home and make sure that my craft room door was closed tight.
I have a nice thick layer of dust over everything inside that room now.

That's it then, no turning back now.

I really didn't think going back to the brick was part of the plan.

Well at least the nice man left us some where to pee before bedtime.
