Baby Jack - What a Palava

Monday Night is our quality time with Grandson Jack.
Tonight he went for a long stroll with Granda in his new pushchair, we had bought one for home previously but we both hated it, we kept stepping on the brake and all but going head first over the handle was a nightmare.
Tonight Jack graced us with one of those nappies that no one wants to have to deal with, squishing out the sides up his back and even in his tummy button (urghhhhh)
What a palava, we whipped off the nappy and I held him at arms length whilst Granda tried best he could to wipe him down.
Auntie Natalie cockled and ran out of the room.
I then tried to strip him as the bath was the only place he was going to get clean and by this time it was all over his vest and my hands.
You'll be pleased to know he is now clean as a whistle and smelling like a new teacake again.
This is a picture of him with a crust of wholemeal bread on Saturday.

Stamped onto a mustard coloured card heat embossed white white detail powder and layered with brown card.

A little bit of sponged on whit ink to the center of the egg gives it the appearance that it is rounded.

A pearl added on each cross of the pattern makes the egg pop.

Diet Update

Well I went along to the slimming club on Thursday & I have to admit I was dreading it, I had a horrendous 3 weeks and trying to get back on track seemed impossible.
I gingerly stepped on the scales terrified at the result, but, to my delight I had maintained the weight I was before I went away.
So I felt inspired and on Friday I was extra good.
Saturday came and I was very very good until I had Pizza for tea.
Today I have been good up until my lovely hubby went to Asda and bought me a Maple Pecan Pastry.
How on earth do I loose weight.
How have you all been doing?

Craftrak

I joined in with some new fun to hit the card making world.
Make a card use the number on the reverse to log it in Craftrak, send the card and both receiver and sender can track the card.

My very first Craftrak card made and ready to post on Monday. All SU stamps were used to make the card.

and the 2nd made using the Indian Summer stamp set by Rubber Stamp Tapestry.

This is so much fun, you don't know what you are missing out on, your card could end up anywhere in the world.

Waltzing Mouse Stamps Blog Hop - Roses in Bloom

When Claire from Waltzing Mouse Stamps asked me to be a Guest Designer for her March release I was overjoyed to pitch in, Claire is such a talented Gal and I admire her greatly.
When I opened the stamp set Roses in Bloom my jaw dropped to the floor, it is one of those sets that will be used over and over again with endless possibilities.
My first project is a gift box with the rose stamped 3 times onto soft peach coloured card then shaded with Promarkers and then cut out and built up a few layers to make the rose pop.
I added a couple of die cut corners and sponged the edges of the box lid and die cuts with a soft Bark versacolor ink pad.

Attention to detail...

The pretty peach ribbon and the Mother tag are just enough to decorate the sides of the gift box.

For my 2nd project I made a Mothers day Card

14x14cm card a pretty pink paper from my stash a Spellbinders pendant a pretty satin ribbon and Waltzing Mouse Stamps.

Stamps were coloured with Promarkers in lemons and pinks.

Attention to detail...

I used the Lattice Pendant die from spellbinder to create a trellis effect behind the rose and buffed the edges of it in pink ink. the centre of the rose I used a sun punch and cut down the spike then curled each spike inward then added a gem to the centre to make it pop.

Be sure to visit Claire for more projects and all of the details to her fabulous stamp sets and be prepared for a dint in your plastic friend because I'm sure you will want all of them.
