I’m about to leave for the train to Peterborough and I’m taking my Daughter Natalie with me for company. At least it should be a relaxing journey and I will try to blog as much of the day as I can.
I do hope you can join me today on Create and Craft at 2pm and 6pm for some gorgeous new products, my design team have done me proud once again. So I’ll try to get lots of pictures once the have the set ready for the shows.
I’m launching some new images the cutest darn teddy bears you have ever seen, their names are Pickles and Podge and they get up to all sorts of mischief.
Podge likes his grub and he’s a sporty little dude too.
Whereas Pickles is just so sweet, flowers and lace and and all the girly stuff.
Of course I’ll be taking some fun stuff too and I would be simply thrilled if you would join me there.

Days Gone By
I want to share another restored photograph with you but before I do I have a card to show you.
The image used is a digi stamp called Petticoats Three by Just Inklined it is more of a pencil line that a thick solid line and it gives a softer finish. Don't you just love the vintage images?
I also used the most scrumptious ribbon from Ribbon Carousel this one is a two sided satin in silver and black. I pushed one of the prima pins through the ribbon knot.
So now on to the restored photograph.
This is the original photo.
And this is the restored and coloured Photo.
I know a few of you have asked what software I used, I used a combination of Coral Paint Shop pro and also Coral Draw graphic Suit. I don’t want any of you to rush out and buy it as you do need to know what you are doing as you need to use lots of different tools settings and shadings to get to this stage, it isn’t just a push of a button you have to colour each section individually.
Just to showcase the finished image I had to play and do a scrapbook layout.
Made using My Memories Suite You can use my code for a discount of $10 if you wish to get the software for it. My code is STMMMS48868 Enter the code on the shopping cart page at My Memories Suite

Restoring Photographs
I think most of you will remember me telling you about my Dads Father and the photograph that I restored as they had very few photographs left as their home was bombed during the war.
Well yesterday A friend was trying to restore one of her families pictures and I couldn’t help myself in playing with it to help her out. I did get it looking better and then I recalled her saying that she would have loved to see it coloured so I gave it a go, I’d never attempted to colour an old black and white photograph but I figure if you don’t try you will never achieve.
The result was really good, obviously I couldn’t show her photographs as I haven’t asked permission so I then set to and did one of my own families.
I’ll show you the before and after so you can see the difference.
My Mam with my eldest brother Alan the Original Photograph.
The restored and coloured Photograph
I didn’t remove all of the blemishes purely because I wanted to leave some of the old character intact.

Monochrome–Lala Saturated Canary
At times I like to run with colour and do something unexpected when colouring an image, this one, Lala from Saturated Canary Digi’s was perfect for this.
I’m not sure if I ever told you but I was a punk rocker in my younger days, my boyfriend had blue tipped hair and mine was pillow box red.
Lala is a real beauty so I coloured her eyes green and used the most gorgeous wine to pink in her hair with a complimentary muted pink in her dress.
The little butterflies were punched from a Tonic Studios border punch from the backing paper.

Blanche–Saturated Canary
You know how it is, you sit down to craft and a card just seems to take forever, your creative mojo seems to have taken a hike to a different part of the universe, you try this and that to make the card sing but you still aren’t happy with the end result. Everyone says that it’s lovely but you still aren’t happy with it.
Well that is how I have felt for weeks now. I can sit and colour for hours and hours but the making of the card has been a pain. That is until today…….
I coloured up my image, Blanche from Saturated Canary Digi’s sat at my craft desk and everything just fell into place. I think this image has a striking resemblance to Sophia Loren with the Italian Chić don’t you?
Coloured with Copic Markers and Prisma pencils
Memory Box border dies and gems from Mei Flower (love their gems and pearls)

Accident Prone Jack
I know boys will be boys and I’m sure he will have his fair share of bumps as he is growing.
Thursday whilst playing with his cousin Alfie, and of course running around without a care in the world Jack tripped over the dog who was also running around with them and this was the result of the trip.
He went head first into the door stencil at his Great Nanna’s house and had to be took to the medical walk in centre.
They patched him up by gluing the wound together and applying sterri strips to hold it in place. So all sounds good yes?
Nope, they ended back again to the walk in centre as he banged it again and it opened right back up, This time he banged it on his Granda’s (Stuarts Dad) nose whilst kissing him goodbye. This time unable to glue it and floods of tears, Once again Sterri Strips applied but boy it looks nasty, very swollen still and the bruising is now coming out.
