And Finally... Santa Collage

I finally found time to make the last of my Christmas cards and what a better way to finish than with old St Nicholas himself I think this has to be my favourite Christmas stamp of all (Santa Collage) the flourish and sentiment image are from a Papertrey ink stamp set (Silent Night)

Attention to detail...

I added heavy lace under the stamped image and on the base card I used a Stampin Up wheel with a holly stamp and heat embossed with gold detail powder.

On the image below you can see that I wrapped a gold thread around the right hand side of the card, the sizzix bigz floral die was glittered along with the punched out snowflake for extra texture.

Looking for Clues

I made a plain and simple card unlike the wonderful Image by Mo Manning, I love the way mo Captures poise and expression into her images.
Coloured with promarker and mounted onto a DL card the paper is from Papertrey Ink.

The button on the image is tied with a piece of leather cord the white buttons are slotted through a thin white ribbon.

I love this image I reckon it could be bath time for the Pet hence the disappearance.

Nestabilities Flower - Chrysanthemum

I used a cream base card with a Ripe Advacado ribbon, card and stamped flourishes in the same colour ink, all including the stamps available from Papertrey Ink.
I used the scalloped Circles Nestabilities to create the flower, I'm calling it a Chrysanthemum because that is the blossom I was aiming for.
The Label shapes are also Nestabilies.

Attention to detail...

A closer look at the Chrysanthemum, I also used a leaf punch on green paper then distress it with chalk inks to make them look a little more lifelike.

If you would like to know how to make this leave a comment, if I have enough interest I'll do a tutorial.

Winter Scene

I started with a white 15 x 15cm base card and scored lines across the bottom edge using a ScorPal, the image which is a stamp by Serendipity which I inked with Brocade blue ink by Stampin Up then cut out using the long rectangle Nestabilities I then mounted this onto the card at the top an added a little stickles to make it sparkle.

A pretty blue sheer ribbon was slotted through the ribbon tag then tied in a bow, I then added the Tree charm to the bow, the charm brads make a pretty accent to a card and they only cost £1 for 6 of them from here

On the ribbon tag by Spellbinders I stamped the Papertrey Ink wording in the same blue ink as the main scene then swiped the ink pad all around the edges of the tag

Stamped in chocolate Chip SU ink onto kraft card then distressed by sponging the same ink onto the edges and corners of the kraft card.
Chocolate coloured base card and a smaller dotted SU paper. Cream card and ribbon.
Attention to detail...
3 button with ribbon knotted through them and 3 pearls to accent the flourish

Two Tone Damask

I Started with a white 14 x 14cm card and stamped the damask stamp by PTI over the base card leaving around 3cm clear at the base of the card, I then added the dotted paper punched with a Martha Stewart border punch the the bottom section and tied a matching ribbon to hide the join using the long rectangle Nesabilities Dies I cut out the scallop shape from contrasting card and cut a plain white shape and stamped the sentiment on top.

Attention to Detail...

The Damask Stamp was inked with the Brilliance Aurora ink pad I did it carefully pressing the edges of the pad onto the edges of the stamp and allowing the centre of the stamp to catch the middle colour on the ink pad.

Up Up and Away....

This card was made with the Everyday Button Bits stamp set by Papertrey Ink
This card reminds me of my friend Pam who has been trying to arange a balloon flight for 2 years now but the weather has let her down each time.
So Pam if you are looking dreams really do come true so keep trying.

Friday 14 August 2009

I used the In Bloom PTI stamp Set to make this card.
The base card was such a pretty Aqua colour that I used the left over pieces to stamp the sentiment, flowers and leaves onto and didn't need to colour them at all.
I took a square of white card slightly smaller than the base card and stamped the largest flower all over the card in black ink, tied a matching ribbon around this then stuck it onto the base card leaving the aqua border showing.
I cut out the sentiment, flowers and leaves and attached them to the card with foam pads then a couple of pearls and a little bit of stickles and I was done.

Attention to detail...

A dot of stickles glitter glue was added to the centre of each flower and the the veins of the leaves to make them pop.

Lovely As A Tree

The Lovely as a Tree stamp set by Stampin Up was used for this card, stamped in Perfect Plum ink then I used a damp brush to blend in the little mounds under the trees and finished with stickles ice glitter glue scattered over the image to make it pop, I rounded the corners then used the Martha Stewart Flourish punch at the top and bottom edge then mounted it onto a large labels die cut (Nestabilities).
The base card was stamped with Fancy Flourishes stamp set.
I finished with a ribbon and some pearls.

Attention to detail...

After stamping the base card using Fancy Flourishes I added a couple of self adhesive pearls

Hey there Chickadee

This cute little card was made with a stamp set especially designed for the use of buttons Everyday Button Bits by Papertrey Ink , I just fell in love with the chicks.
I stuck the buttons onto the card using pinflair gel after cutting out the heart shapes with the Nestabilities Dies.
The embossing was done with the Birds and Swirls A2 Cuttlebug folder and the backing paper is by Stampin Up it is the hostess gift.
All tied together with a sheer white ribbon.

Attention to detail...

papertrey Ink have thought of everything with this Everyday Button Bits stamp set even down to the tiny wings. you can see with this picture that I used 2 buttons for each chick although in reality you only need one.

Friends Till the End

I used the Friends Till the End stamp set by Papertrey Ink to make this card, I love the big statement that the big bloom makes.
I masked off the base card to leave a broad strip then stamped the big bloom in black ink across the strip. I then added thin black ribbon to the top and bottom of this strip.
I added the red ribbon to the top of the card(see below for details) then on separate card I stamped the bloom and the leaves coloured in Copic Sketch Markers then cut these out and added to the left corner of the card with foam pads.
Lastly I stamped the sentiment on the bottom right of the card with black ink.

Attention to detail...

I used a very strong double sided tape across the top of the card then pleated the ribbon making it a little higgle de piggildy so that it didn't look uniform.

Flower coloured with Copic Sketch Markers. A pearl button and a few black diamond stickles were added to make the center pop.

Visa-Versa Card

Another card showcasing the stamp set that I will be giving away this week, I hope you are following all of this ha ha ha.
I started this by playing with colours and being unsure which one to use, I stamped out the flowers and build them up then couldn't decided which one to use, I got out the plum card and folded it into a base card, still very unsure that I would use it, I then reached for the pink and placed it on top of the plum to place the flowers on top to see which colour would work best, so there is was... they both worked so I combined the two.

Attention to detail...

The flowers were stamped 4 times in each colour then cut out in layers stuck on layer on top of the other using foam pads then added a pearl for the middle of the flower.

The ribbon was a length of each colour folded in half one looped through the other one and pulled across the card then securely fastened with tape one the inside of the card, as the base card is plum coloured I cut out a piece of the pink and covered the taped ribbon inside.

Welcome Little One...

This is the 4th card from Papertrey Ink exclusive Everyday Classics Stamp Set, I hope you are seeing the endless possibilities that this set gives.
This time in aqua and chocolate colours a Welcome Little One.

The larger bird was stamped then an oval Nestabilitie die was used to cut out the image, I punched 2 small holes at the top of the oval and tied and bowed a ribbon through the holes.

Attention to detail... As you can see from this image I stamped an extra wing for the larger bird cut around it and used a foam pad to make it pop.
