Peony Bloom

This is the Peony 2 Bloom by Just Inklined which is being given free from the Imag-e-nation online shop this week if you sign up to their newsletter you get informed every time a new free image is available.
I printed the image at full size then cut out a square from the printed sheet keeping the head of the bloom in the corner of the square, coloured the image with Promarkers added a pretty ribbon and some pearl pins, stamped a sentiment then added a bit of love to bring it all together.

Attention to Detail...

You can see in this photograph that I printed out the image twice and cut out the first 2 layers of the Peony petals to make the flower pop.

Autumn Leaves

Just a quick card today as I have been working on theme project which has now got me scratching my head on how I'm going to build what I need next.
A simple card using punched out leaves and inked up to add the colour I wanted, I used the sizzix fall embossing folder on the cream card, added a few berries and a pretty ribbon and a bit of love to bring it all together.
You can see from below that the leaves started their life yellow in colour, I used dye inks and blended them onto the leave to get the colour tones I wanted.

Floral Craft - Violas

It has been so long since I did any Floral Craft that I thought I might have lost my touch but I managed to grab a couple of hours free time so I sat down and went to work.
I love Violas such a pretty little flower and to make them from scratch was a challenge trying to capture there likeness.
I used a small pear punch, a mini sun punch, a medium Japanese Gingko punch and a medium birch leaf for the flower and a deep purple marker to add the centre veins to the petals.

Hope you like this.

Checking was a freebie given by Mo on her facebook page which she will be doing from time to time click here to join her.

I tried to keep everything matching with this.

Card, pink, blue and Kraft, ribbon, button, Martha Stewart border punch, a pretty flower, promarkers to colour and a bit of love to bring it all together.

Attention to detail...

A blue mulberry rose and some punch craft leaves.

Adding a ribbon tied in a bow through a button and showing the scalloped edge made used a Martha Stewart border punch.

A Little Birdie Told me...

For this card I used cream and pink card, Bella Toile background stamp and pale plum ink pad and the 2 in 1 bird punch (all from Stampin Up) Martha Stewart Border punch (Doily Lace) die - cut flowers, Nestabilities Label dies cream ribbon and flowers from Wild orchid Crafts.

Lastly a bit of love to put it all together
Attention to detail...
Using the same background stamp Bella Toile from Stampin Up and the same pale plum ink pad I stamped both the cream and the pink card so that the theme was carried throughout the card.
I used the Martha Stewart (doily Lace) border punch on the pink card and finished by tying a cream ribbon on top.

I used the same background stamp on the wing of the bird and a little gem to dot the eye.

Prima Alabaster Flowers

The lattice punch by Martha Stewart and the Prima Alabaster Flowers work so well together, I used a very pale pink base card and stamped it using the Papertrey Ink Fancy Flourish Stamps in cream and light fawn coloured ink.

Attention to detail...

The Prima Alabaster Flowers are so prettyI kept the card in subtle colours to compliment it, I added extra foliage to make the flower pop using the floral punch craft punches on cream card.

Nestabilities Flower - Chrysanthemum

I used a cream base card with a Ripe Advacado ribbon, card and stamped flourishes in the same colour ink, all including the stamps available from Papertrey Ink.
I used the scalloped Circles Nestabilities to create the flower, I'm calling it a Chrysanthemum because that is the blossom I was aiming for.
The Label shapes are also Nestabilies.

Attention to detail...

A closer look at the Chrysanthemum, I also used a leaf punch on green paper then distress it with chalk inks to make them look a little more lifelike.

If you would like to know how to make this leave a comment, if I have enough interest I'll do a tutorial.

The Shoe - Copic Creations Challenge 10

I created this card for the Copic Creations Challenge, I don't normally do challenges but my friend Marge told me about it & thought this one could be fun, I had The Shoe digi stamp by sketching stamper digi-stamps just sitting itching to be coloured so here it is, my challenge entry.

Attention to detail...

I wasn't sure which part of detail to show you on this card, the single petal at the bottom corner, the punched out heart shape in the top corner, the double tied ribbon? so I plumbed for the rose and the shoe detail.

The rose was made with a heart punch, I distressed some paper with red ink fading it out to a pink shade then punching out the hearts and tweaking the shapes into individual petals.

The front of the shoe was adorned with gold bedazzles to give a little sparkle and to add dimension.

Christmas Delights - Paper Folding Flowers

I love how this Christmas gift box has come together, I started by making a box from red and gold card stock, the bits of the gold card that I had left over I punched out some leaves ready to add to the top of the box.
Now for the flowers, I found these on a very clever paper folding blog called Folding Trees you must check out the tutorial of the flower here

You can see on this close up image that I used a gold marker on the centre folds to make the middle of the flower pop.
