Slimming Update

As promised I'm signing in to give you an update of my weight loss but before I do I thought I would share a few of my observations on the subject.

I went along to class and watched some of the habits us slimmers have.
1. Make sure we eat nothing just before the weigh in.
2.Go for a pee before leaving the house.
3. On arriving at the venue - Go for a pee.
4. After signing in, meeting and greeting, go for a pee.
5. Stand in the queue to get weight, when the queue is down to 2 people before your turn, go for a pee.
6. Take off cardigans, sweaters. jewelry (gold weighs heavy) empty pockets, take off shoes also socks if you've washed your feet.
7. get on scales, if you weigh too much try standing on one leg.
8. exhale.
Now those of you that have never been to a slimming class may think that I am joking but believe me all of this happens.

OK now for my Weight.
1.5 Pounds Loss this week.
My favourite find of the week is a mugshot cous cous chicken and mushroom If you are with Slimming World this is a free food on the extra easy plan.

Something to try next week

The Best Tomato Soup Ever
2tins of tomatoes (400g)
1 tin carrots ( drained )
1 tin baked beans
1 chicken oxo or bovril
1/2 pint water
and the magic ingredient 1 PICKLED ONION put in a pan and blend and heat.
they say that this is as good as the company that makes the 57 varieties and it is free on Slimming Worlds extra easy plan

Well done on the loss. I managed to lose this week too, 1.6kg.

A smile came across my face as I read your list of slimmers habits and have to admit I have done every one of them.

Well done Jak. I am not going to a club just now ( been to a few) and i have lost 2lb in the last week. Just trying to be good.

Bang on Jak! What a funny lot we slimmers are... I was down with flu last week and managed to shed 4lbs over the course of the fortnight - no doubt it'll re-appear as punishment for gorging on chocolate comfort when feeling ill!

you forgot another habit, eat chocolate AFTER the class then you have all week to get rid of the calories.
you have inspired me to join a slimming class, but i'm weight watchers on-line but i'll try the tomato soup for sure.

Ha! Ha! Ha!, Jak, you've been watchin' me at my SW class - I take out my glass eye and false teeth as well though, lol! That said, I need to lose just 1.5 lbs to make my loss 5 stones since mid January 2009. The SW diet really works for me. I wish you every success with it.

Well done Jak on losing weight this week. I've put on a few pounds over the last few weeks, but I'm hoping when I go next week to W.Watchers some of them will have come back off.

One lady at our class even brings an old dress into which she changes each time before being weighed!

I like the look of the tomato soup, but are you able to share the chicken and cous cous recipe?

Well done Jak I went to see clinic at hospital on Tuesday and had lost 3 kilos which I think is 6.6lbs so that is now 2stone since September last year so am well chuffed. Tomato soup recipe looks good I had one using fresh carrots but lost it so will try yours. Liz x

Hi Jak
You made me 'laugh out load' with your list of things we slimmers do!! I've been to my SW class this morning & had been to the loo twice before I got weighed. Lost 1lb this week but thats 9.5lbs in 4 weeks so I'm pleased. Will definately try the soup.
I have a delish recipe for chocolate cake you make in the microwave if you want it let me know. Its only 11 sins for the whole cake!!!

Wow, you outlined my weigh-in process EXACTLY except for the one leg thing!!! I stayed even this week, for which I was VERY grateful, as I had eaten out several times and was almost sure that I had gained. Zero for me this week and so happy!

It has been awhile since I was at a WW meeting but I also noticed all these behaviours. In fact I did a couple myself. Just a question re the soup recipe. Does it call for 2x400g tins of tomatoes or is it the total of 2=400g? Maybe I am reading it wrong. Thanks. It sounds delicious.

Wow, that is surprising that with the can of baked beans it is considered 'free'. The is so much sugar in the tinned ones.
