Countdown

Well as may have guessed I’m still having good days and bad with this wreck of a back of mine. Chris has been wonderful, I get a massage each morning with Voltarol which helps immensely.

I seem to be getting lots of pain down the fronts of my legs too like a constant ache, but rubbing seems to help.

Good news is I see my Rheumatologist tomorrow so hopefully I will get a light at the end of a very dark tunnel.

La Pashe has a new release coming which will blow you away, stunning is the word that comes to mind so I’ll get all of the girls to do some sneak peeks real soon.

I really do feel for you Jak, I am a fellow back sufferer, I had a discectomy 13 years ago and was rushed into hospital just before last Christmas for another one, I've never been in so much pain, just like you, sciatica from my right buttock down the front and side of my leg, lots feeling in my right foot. Please don't let it go on and on thinking it'll get better, it was going to be 6 months before I could get to see an NHS consultant so I paid for a private consultation with a neurologist who I made sure also practised on the NHS. I had an MRI scan within 8 weeks and 3 days later I was in having the operation on the NHS. He told me that if I hadn't been admitted I'd have been in a wheelchair within 3 months as I had Cauda Equina Syndrome. The pain is neglible now but the nerve damage is still there, I've not feeling in my foot and now have what's calle 'dropped foot.' Please don't take your back pain lightly sweetheart. Got to say my crafting helps me a lot as I immerse myself in it to help take my mind off not being able to go walk on the North Yorks Moors like I used to. Back pain is invisible yet impacts on our lives so much.
Wishing you a fruitious outcome from you rheumatologist visit tomorrow and a speedy recovery.

I am exactly the same as D above, Morphine & nerve relaxants every day get me a life, but not the life I am used to. Mine also was many years ago. i was unable to walk for 5 months & had to have the discectomy. This was not successful so was re admitted & had another op 10 days later. I am left with sciatic pain down the right side & limited mobility. Flair up of inflammation all over body do not help either. There are so many like us out there mostly crafters as well.So please push to be seen. Hope it all goes well for you.xx

So sorry to hear you are still having so much pain Jak. I understand what it is like to be in pain everyday-some days I think its going to drive me crazy. Force myself to get out of bed so I can eat and then take my pain meds, which do offer some relief. I know you are struggling-hope the Dr. can shed some light and offer some hope.
