Pickled

I'm wondering if pickled eggs is a British thing, I love them and so does my eldest daughter, Chris is more of a curried egg fan.
I set to and made a big jar of them tonight after dinner, now to wait 6 weeks before I can eat them.
Do you make your own pickles? if so what do you make?

CAS The Christmas Box

Those of you that watched Create and Craft will have seen me challenge Dean to making a card, it was hilarious but totally fun, we both made the same card and although his was like the wonky donkey it had a charm to it.
This is the card that I made and his went of to a lucky viewer.
This is just one of the Element coloured images from The Christmas Box CD rom by La Pashe

Winter Fairy Manty

Did you know that mostly I do not like illustrated fairy’s? I always feel there is something just not quite right about them, it could be that they don’t seem to come up to my expectations that I have in my memories of thinking about them as a child, yet when Mo Manning draws them I simply love them, I think it is the real childlike look that Mo captures, the little tubby tummy and navel.

Coloured with Copic markers and Chalk pencils, Wording cut out on my silhouette portrait.

I could just pinch this little one.

I added a few babs of glitter glue to finish along with some dew drops, stick pins, gems from Mei Flower and a pretty ribbon.

Golden Swirled Cracker

I had a day off so decided to play a little more with the Christmas Cracker Card from La Pashe.

Santa Cracker1

The first thing I did was reach for my embossing folder and embossing machine

I embossed the sides and the cracker pieces then used a brayers to add Versamark to the embossed pattern, then used a gold pearl embossing powder over it and heat embossed it.

It gives it a more luxurious finish don't you think?

Santa Cracker3

I used the Santa decoupage from The Christmas Box cd to add inside the cracker opening.

Santa Cracker2

I actually think Santa is on Facebook, what do you think?

Mutton

Well I took the plunge and treat myself to a denim jacket, it has to be around 30 years since I had my last one and if I’m honest I was terrified that I might look like Mutton dressed as lamb but after posting a picture to facebook I feel much happier as I got such a wonderful response.

So here I am and I’ll let you decide. It is amazing what dropping two dress sizes does for the confidence.

Blog Hop-circles September1

You should have landed on my blog from Mina

I'm using Roxy from Mo’s Digital Pencil for my hop card and she is brilliant for those hard to do teenage girl cards.

My circles were punched from a matching paper then mounted on foam pads to make them pop.

My image was coloured with Copic markers and Chalk Pencils.

Isn’t she just perfect.
