Scout Named Noah
We had a wonderful evening babysitting Jack and we took him over to see my Mam, he was in his Jimjams all ready for bed but he loves to visit her as not only is he the apple of her eye but he is totally intrigued with Jess her cat. We stayed for about an hour as that was as much as jess could put up with him as she is getting no younger and he has her scurrying from one room to another to hide from him.
I hurried back and got this card made, I think I have said before how much this character reminds me of Jack.
Scout Named Noah Digi Stamp from Sassy Cheryl
The badge at the top is a real scout badge cut from my daughter scouting blanket Shhhhhhh don’t tell.

Oh Baby!
We have two babies that will arrive into our family in the next couple of weeks so I thought I’d best get cracking with something pretty. One of which will be Kim and David's, I guess most of you remember the tragic loss of their beautiful baby boy Layton and I know many of you gave so generously when I did the fundraising for meningitis in his memory.
I love Mo Manning's baby images, so beautiful and this one is no exception.
Baby Boy b is from Mo’s Digital Pencil
Coloured with Copic markers and prisma pencils the swirly embossing is a sizzix embossing folder and as this is an 8 inch card I used the Grande Calibur from Spellbinders to do the embossing. I don’t have a raspberry plate so I used the cutting plate and the B plate for the Cuttlebug.
The gorgeous ribbon is from Ribbon Carousel

Spring has Nearly Sprung
I’m not sure if it’s the new specs but everything is looking cleaner and fresh since I got them, so todays choice of image is perfect.
Spring Bringer by Wee Stamps, I just love the faces on these wee darlings.
I kept the colours in line with Spring and added pearls glitter (which isn’t showing, but know her wings are sparkling) and used a ribbon from the march collection of Ribbon Carousel and Grande Calibur Borders and foliage from Spellbinders
I’m struggling with my blood count uh! I’ve had a terrible sand paper rash for about 4 weeks now, it’s all over my chest forehead behind my ears little bit on my nose and over my back, we think (doctor thinks) it may be to do with my bloods. I had both a letter and a telephone call again from the hospital so I have to go back again and I am starting to resemble a very well used pin cushion.

Test Driving
Just in case you were wondering, I'm having a day off……… I’m test driving some new specs and thought it would be better to test drive them without the close work than strain my eyes straight off.
I have some designer specs, this is a first for me, she’s a new gal on the specs block called Karen Millan.
I’ve mastered the focus and reverse, still keep looking in my mirrors until I get used to the drive but on the whole they are feeling good.

Anniversary Filigree
I know, I know, I bought one but I just couldn’t do it, so I set to straight after dinner and got cracking making a card for Chris’s Mam & Dad, I may keep the other for his Dads Birthday or Fathers Day.
A bit of a filigree feel to this one.
Soft, dreamy and clean, I used a heart corner punch (corner adorner) really old punch, my ScorPal for the embossing, love the ScorPal, Moroccan spellbinders die on the Grande Calibur, Memory Box Heart die, some ribbons and pearl pins.
I also used my Stampin Up heart punch and a bit of matting and layering.

Eeek! I Bought a Card
Being an avid card maker it is few and far between that I buy a shop card. Most people expect a hand made card and it always feels as if I’m cheating if I do buy one.
Last year while we were in Kendal (my favourite place on earth) I was window shopping, not many places you can do that these days as most of the shops have metal shutters. Anyway I spotted some very, very interesting cards and went back the next day to take a closer look at them.
being from a fishing village ourselves I knew I had to make a purchase and actually, shamefully I bought three cards. They are all swinging cards that pop out 3d but lay flat in an envelope, ingenious the way they have been made.
The fishing Village.
I took a couple of photo’s from different angles so you can see how clever it is.
This one is destined for my Mother and Father–in-laws Anniversary, they lift in the same village as us so will totally appreciate it.
The company that make these are called Santoro. Not cheap but very different.
