Guest Star Stamper Entry

Trinket tray

I made 2 projects for the Guest Star Stamper using the Little Lady Stamp set by PTI

The trinket tray was made from a CD case I baked it in the oven until it was soft enough to mould making sure I wore oven gloves to do this, once I had the shape I wanted I stamped the lady bug on the bottom of the tray on the outside, I cover the outside with a layer of voila glue and spinkled it with glitter then added a layer of crumpled tissue, then added some H2O colour and another layer of tissue and one more layer of the glue and allowed this to dry. Once dry I edged the tray with a gold permanant pen and tied a ribbon through a hole in the tray where one of the tabs used to be, I finished by adding a leaf and the baby size stamped little lady.

Below is shots taken at different angles the 1st showing a top view of the tinket tray and the 2nd showing it filled with a pearl jewelry set inside.

Just click on the images for a closer view.

Little Lady Spinner Card
The Lady Bug spins around the card until it gets to the flowers, it is mounted on 2 coins with foam pads between the coins these fit between the outer and innner circle of the apature. I wish I could show the spinning in action it is so cute.

Below is other shots taken to try to show you the movement in the ladybird spinner card

Stampbord Trinket Box

I'm back from my weekend and thought I'd show you the trinket box made while I was away and taught by Paddy a lady from Manchester.
This is the top of the trinket box with a Stampbord top.
The box was inked with various shades of browns, oranges and yellows and the same shades were blended onto the stampbord it was then stamped with the lion in a black ink then scratchedaway the clay top on the Stampbord in various places to allow the white to show through, although I have done this technique many times I had always glazed the stampbord with UTEE or left it plain, this one has a beeswax coating added which leaved a lovely sheen without it being shiney.

This is the side view of the trinket box as you can see it is finished in a gold trim arounf the stampbord and the edge of the box has also been stamped.

Take a Bough

This is a lovely little stamp set by Papertrey Ink called Take a Bough
Stmped in Versafine Black Onyx then gems added to the main bauble with a teeny tiny bow added to the top I used stickles on the leaved and cuttlebugged the the white background with the holly brabch embossing folder then tied it all together with a black ribbon.

I feel a bit of a cheat with this card

The main image on this card was bought exactly as you see it, I've had it a few years and it came fully made up on a sheet of 6 Christmas decoupaged toppers.
So I dusted the cobwebs off it punched a border on some gold card and punched a couple of holes and added the ribbon I finished the card by adding red gems andedging the card with a gold pen.
Now why did I only buy 2 sheets of these toppers?
