How Sweet it is..

I just love the Celebration stamp set by PTI, lots of matting a layering here, then a clever
little folded card added to the centre with a matching ribbon to hold it in place topped with contasting circles and a PTI stamped cupcake.

How sweet it is.........

To have & to hold........

A trifold card, the stamps used were from the wedding range from Papertrey Ink also the new Palette Hybrid colours exclusive to them Sweet Blush and Berry Sorbet.
I stamped the oval and cut out the aperture then stamped through the aperture to ensure that I got the words lined up correctly I layered up a couple of the flowers to make them pop, and stamped the leaves and corner swirls in the Sweet blush.

The piece that I cut from the oval I folded the card up and popped this back into the oval and opend up one layer of the card holding the oval shape in place then stamped around the oval shape to make a background.
For the insert I used PTI background paper stamped the sentiment and layered onto contrasting card before attaching in to the centre.

Double opening as shown below

Helppppppppp !!!!!

Why on earth do I not learn to keep my mouth shut?
You would think at my age I was old enough to learn but no!

My eldest daughter Lauren is getting Engaged 16th May and what did I go and do, offer to make the cake or should I say cakes. 3 in total.

The cakes have been made and are all ready to marzipan and ice, those that know me will tell you I gave up cake decorating over 10 years ago and the type I specialised in was sugar craft making all the delicate flowers, the reasoning behind giving it up was everyone expected them done yesterday giving me very little time to complete.

Lucky for Lauren I didn't throw away my tools I hid them away in the loft. Now the hard part Lauren wants something a little funky arghhhhhhhhhhhh I don't do funky and this little engagement cake project has cost me roughly £150.00 so far.

I expect it will all turn out fine it is just that I am stressing over it a little.
Below is the last cakes I made for a friends Wedding (the second time round).

A Thought

Probably the hardest card of all to make, made simple by Papertrey Ink.
Sometimes you just need to let a friend know that you are thinking of them at this time and Papertrey really knows how to help with this Everyday Blessing stamp set.

Lime Green Glimmer

I started this cardby playing around with the Glimmer Mists using gold, lemon zest and honey dew I spritzed of some white card stock until I got the colour I liked I then dried it using my heat gun so that I could get to work on the stamping.
I used my favourite Clarity rubber stamp inked with black archival ink to stap the image onto the card that I had used the glimmer mist on.
The picture doesn't show to well the glimmer and twinkle this has but believe me it is scruptious.
Using a lime green base card and contrasting black card I layered up the image and then punched out the blossoms from the left over black card.
I added some coloured pearls to the centre of the blossoms.

I punched some holes to the bottom of the black card using the Creative Memories Geometric Cutter and wove a lime green Ribbon through the holes then tied a knot to secure it.

I used a DMD border stamp along the base of the card, inked with Archival ink.
