La-La Land Capri Marci

I have a gorgeous card to show you today but before I do i wanted to tell you about work at La Pashe
It has been a bit of a day today at work, Peeta my workmate (cough "lackey" and cutter outer) has been trying to steal my thunder, I will tell you more about this later in the week.
I wouldn't care but I even made him the perfect bow accessory, well that's gratitude for you isn't it?

Peeta
I have to say I struggled with this one, only because I'm finicky with colours matching and there are sooo many shades of pink and blue that you just wouldn't believe, I eventually found and old designer paper pad from HOTP and as soon as I started thumbing through the papers I new I was onto a winner.

Capri Marci from La La Land stamps is a girl after my own heart in her Jeans and T-Shirt, I also gave my Sizzix Bigz Die an airing and added a button and pearl center to the flower. The border punch was a Martha Stewart edger punch, you gotta love that girls punches, they are a must have for your crafting stash.

La La Land - Winter Marci

Oh my! have you seen these? I think they have the most angelic faces, such a dream to colour too. Just look at her little outfit, I love it, I can remember dressing my two like this.
They come in either digi stamps or red rubber, so no one will be stuck getting their hands on them.
La-La Land Stamps Winter Marci doesn't have to be all snowflakes in fact in my card there is none.
I used pretty papers by Stampin Up, buttons, ribbon, a few pearls, Nestabilities, Sweet wording and matting and layering and of course a bit of love to bring it all together.

Jelly Jubilee Cake - just like Mamma used to bake...

After making the Kitchen Shelves card and reminissing about my Mams Sunday baking days I had loads of requests of how to make them so here it is all listed below.
I'm going to take mine to work tomorrow as a treat for us all.
Jelly Jubilee Cakes

You will need....

cakes .....

eggs 3, Selfraising Flour 6oz, Caster Sugar (fine suger)6oz, Butter 6oz.

topping..

1 packet fruit Jelly (Jello), 1 packet of cocunut strands (dessicated coconut)

Filling

1 carton of double cream.

Lets begin.

Beat sugar and butter together until light and fluffy, add 1 egg and a little bit of the flour and beat into the mixture, repeat this with the remaining eggs and flour holding a little bit of the flour back, the remaining flour needs to be folded gently into the mixture.

Fill your cake cases with the mixture and bake in the over 190c or for fan assisted ovens 170c fo 20 - 25 minutes.

Once baked leave on a baking tray to cool, try not to eat one like I did or you will only get 11 to finish ha ha!

While you are waiting for the cakes to cool make up the packet of raspberry jelly, make the jelly with less water than is recomended so that you get a stronger flavour and it will take less time to start setting, it needs to be nearly set before dipping the cakes into it.
Once you have the jelly to that stage, dip in the cake then roll it in the cocunut strands.

Once the cakes are coated in the raspberry jelly and the coconut
leave to one side until the jelly is set.

Leave the cakes for a little while until the raspberry jelly is set.

Once set slice in half, whisk up the double cream until it is stiff and forming peeks then add a generous dollop on the bottom half of the cake then add the top of the cake on top sandwiching the cream inside the cake.
And eat.........

Crazy for You

If like me you don't do sloppy on Valentines day then this is a fun way of getting around it. It says what you meen with a bit of fun added.
Coloured with Promarkers and a printed sentiment cut out with Spellbinders dies, the scoring was done with the ScorPal just enough to take the plain off the card.

Blog Candy Winner - Promarkers, Help for Katie

I have a Blog candy Winner but before I announce it I wanted to thank everyone for getting the word out for the Help for Katie fundraising, we have raised a great amount so far and I'm hoping that it will continue to do so, none of this would have been possible if it wasn't for our wonderful crafting community.
The generosity of people just blows me away, isn't it wonderful to know that we can make a difference in a families life? I know Katie and her family are immensely grateful for the support that has been shown.

So without further delay the winner of the Promarker Blog Candy is...

Sweet Iris

It had been so long since doing a straight forward decoupage card that I actually enjoyed making this one. I used Stampin Up Design Paper for the background and used one of there punches for the leaves, Labels 4 Nestabilities and a contrasting ribbon, some little pearls and a dragonfly charm and a bit of love to bring it all together.

So Many have asked where the decoupage image has come from, well I have to say I cheat lol! it is one of the new Nice'n'Easel sheets by La Pashe I just cut it part out for my card.

Everything But The kitchen Shelf - Mothers Day Card

As soon as I saw this Stamp I knew it would make the perfect Mothering Sunday Card, it have a bit of nostalgia included in the image and I can tell you it reminds me of baking as far as the eye could see on a Sunday morning when I was a little girl.
My Mam used to bake in batches for the week we had bread dough raising in every warm spot in the house ooo and the cakes were out of this world.

One of the cakes that was my favourite was one we called jelly jubilees, it was a vanilla cupcake baked then dipped in a raspberry jelly mix before it set and then rolled in coconut strands, once the jelly had set on the cake it was cut in half and a great big dollop of whipped fresh cream added to the center, I can promise you they didn't last long ha ha.

coloured with Copic markers, Stampin Up designer papers, lace, buttons, roses and twine and a little bit of love to bring it all together.

Gardenia Flower Card - Build a Blossom by La Pashe

I thought I would showcase another of the brand new Build a Blossom flower by La Pashe this time a Gardenia flower, they are such a pleasure to make and they are made up in no time at all.
I think they make the perfect card or even popping them on top of a gift box and with 3 to each sheet you can give co-ordinating gift and card. Ooo Mothers day card and gift (just the ticket for Mums)

I used the ScorPal to add the lines at the bottom of the card and Cuttlebug embossing folder Victoria for the top, the Blossom is mounted on a Spellbinders Nestabilities die. I really must invest in a Spellbinders Grand Calibur and some Grand Labels I think it will be my next big buy.

Isn't it beautiful? each Blossom comes in 3 colours on one sheet.

Wonder- Digital Pencil Too

This is such a sweetie with her little dungaries with the patch pocket and worn patch. I love the way Mo Manning captures her characters her drawing lines just flow. I teamed the image with Bo Bunny glittery papers and a satin aqua ribbon and some wooden flowers and heart coloured with copic makers to match the colour scheme.
Colours - Copic markers
Papers - Bo Bunny
Ribbon - Satin, Papertrey Ink

Teenager Card - Paul Texting

Doesn't this make just the best teenager card? I can see this been used so many times, why is it that teenager boys cards are the worst to find a good image for.
This one Paul Texting by Mo Manning is just perfect for the job and you can purchase it here.

I'm going to have to put in a request for more in this style as it would solve many a teenage card problem.
The image is coloured with Copic markers and the background was airbrushed, teamed with Stampin Up designer papers a bit of word art and some buttons and a bit of love to bring it all together.

Please remember to say a prayer for my dear friend Katie
