Hattie Bowler

Just a little fun card, you see so many images for mens bowls that we thought it would be fun to have one for the women.

Hattie Bowler from Just Inklined is such a fun image that I kept the card clean and simple.

Doesn’t she just bowl you over? Added ribbon and twine from Ribbon Carousel and a few blossoms to finish.

I’ve started a Smash Book

I’m not sure how many of you will know about the Smash Book by K&Co but I guess some of you will have heard about them, basically it is somewhere that you can write a scrappy journal about likes and dislikes and general things you have going on, a bit of a diary if you like but one that you craft together.

This is mine I got my Smash Book at Ribbon Carousel

smash_book1

You get a pen and glue stick loads of ideas and there is loads of Smash book embellishments you can get.

This is a few embellishments that I have.

So next up is to decide what you want to journal about,  thought that I would write about me starting cycling.

So this is my first page giving some of the goals that I’d like to achieve.

The possibilities are endless, they even have a dedicated blog for inspiration. http://www.smashstoriesblog.com/

I happen to be a little OCD I think as I just can’t bring myself to take the cover wrapping off the book yet.

RCC Winter Spirit Challenge

Winter Spirit
We are hosting a winter Spirit Challenge over on the Ribbon Carousel Blog this month
I have chosen some Winter Mittens for my theme, they are a template from Creations by AR
Winter Mittens
I used Bakers Twine and Velvet with Lace edging to decorate the mittens, I think this could be a real fun project to do with children allowing them to decorate the mittens.

Ready to play?!

Pop over to the Ribbon Carousel Blog

you could win your very own Ribbon Carousel You have until January 31st to add your creation.

Tiny Tim

I love feel good images and this is one of them. It could be sent just to give someone a lift (if you pardon the pun)

Tiny Tim and Bob Cratchet by Mo’s Digital Pencil

I used the Letraset Rub on Transfer letters to add the sentiment.

Tiny Tim and Bob Cratchit1

The backing papers, twine and ribbon are all from Ribbon Carousel.

I used a Stampin Up punch down one side of the paper

On the Wings of Love

Well you know now that Christmas is out of the way we need to get our thinking caps on for the next occasion, I’m figuring it will be Valentines day and then Mothering Sunday.

I thing Fashion by Saturated Canary is a great one for the younger generation not typically a Valentine as she would be perfect as a Birthday or a Thank You card too.

Coloured with Copic markers and teamed with Pink Paisley Secret Crush papers and gingham ribbon from Ribbon Carousel

I will be up and out early morning again on my bike ride, I want a peachy butt for the summer.

Inspired by Africa

I’m not sure how many of you watched Sir David Attenborough's new series “Africa” but let me tell you it was awe inspiring, I sat mesmerised, willing it not to end.

Those that missed it can catch it on BBC iplayer.

So that was totally responsible for inspiring my next card.

Meet G-fa Giraffe from Mo’s Digital Pencil

I tried to keep to the warm spicy tones for the papers and I think it worked quite well.

I used the MFT Flag dies to cut the shapes and got the Paper, twine and flower from Ribbon Carousel and a button from Dainty Paperie to complete the look.

I used Kraft card and distressed the edges.

Little Dude with Tude

My card today is using the one of the funniest images for me, I often see Jack looking like this, he pretends to be all moody but he is useless at keeping it up for long, he totally cracks us up and we all end up in heaps of laughter.

Little Dude with Tude is from Mo’s Digital Pencil I just love the way this little tough guy has his Teddy over his arm whilst giving the attitude.

Coloured with Copic Markers.

I kept the card quite simple using My Favorite Things Die-namics dies to accentuate the card and just a button and some twine from Ribbon Carousel to embellish it.

I’m still awaiting the winner of the Mo’s Gift voucher to email me and it is one of my regular commenters so check here to see if it’s you.
