Year of the Flowers - Violets

Year of the Flowers stamp set by Papertrey Ink, irish blessing by Clarity Stamps, Kraft Card and Copic Sketch Markers, a couple of pearls and a bit of love to bring it all together.
This was one of those cards that had sat on my desk uncoloured, I wanted something in soft shades but it kept tempting me to colour it in reds or lavender shades but i resisted and finally got it coloured

Through the Trees

Sometimes simplicity just shines through.
i had this Through the Trees stamp set by Papertrey Ink sitting on my desk, i was looking at it thinking I was going to get into an inky mode when I stamped the trees onto the card this happened, I no longer thought getting inky was the way to go.

Attention to detail...

A simple band of moss coloured card with a white sheer ribbon and a sentiment charm.

If you would like to drop me a line with your details on I'll pop it in the post for you.
So on to today's card
Ooooo the power of masking tape, I started the card by masking off a strip along the top and the bottom of a piece of card then using teal ink and a sponge I blended the ink into the centre of the card, using the same ink I stamped the flourish from the silent night stamp set (Papertrey Ink) and stamped around the edges of the blended centre. After removing the masking tape I embossed both top and bottom of the card with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots A2 embossing folder.
I stamped a sentiment from Stampin Up and used the circle punch to cut it out.
After that a bit of matting a layering and a ribbon and a couple of charms were added.

If you would like to have this card then please leave me a comment and I'll do a draw for it.

Dawn Chorus

You can tell that Spring is here, has anyone else noticed the dawn chorus? The little beauties are getting louder as the mornings get lighter.
So 3 guess's to what inspired me to make this card?
Distressed, cuttlebug embossed and stamped

Attention to detail...

I used 2 stamp sets from PTI for the image, Birds of a Feather and Fancy Flourishes.

3 pearls were added to make the flourish pop.

Sponging around a circle shape can make the perfect Moon or Sun

Distressed Blossom

Getting a bit inky, I love doing that, I had to set to as soon as I got home from Create and Craft, it seems that both myself and Leonie Pujol enjoy nothing better than getting our fingers inky.
I used the Friends till the End stamp set by Papertrey Ink and using the blossom I stamped creamy caramel ink all over the Kraft base card then distressed the edges of the card in the same ink.
I stamped the main focal blossom onto kraft card with Momento ink and used Copics to colour the image, then I added glossy accents to the centre and added little gems and glass glitter to make it pop. I cut this out when dry and tied a ribbon around the card in a bow and added the blossom on top with foam pads.
The sentiment was stamped and cut out with the Stampin up word slot punch.

There's Nothing Better Than A True Friend

A simple yet striking card made with In Bloom stamp set by Papertrey Ink and coloured with Promarkers.
I used a corner rounder and and EK Success slimline border punch on the cream card.

Attention to detail...

As you can see I stamped the 3 blooms and coloured all of them with Promarkers Pastel Green and Soft Green then layered them up using sticky pads.

It adds dimension to the card and makes it pop.

Damask - Spanish Olive

A bit of Spaish olive and cream make a wonderful colour combo so I dug out the nestabilities Label dies, Damask stamp(PTI), Bellas roller stamp(SU)and a Cuttlebug embossing borderand set to work.

Attention to detail...

I used a sheer olive ribbon this time and tied it in a know at the side of the image, as the card has lots going on I found the sheer ribbon just made it pop, I think a heavier ribbon would have swamped the card.

Where I used the Cuttlebug border to emboss I added stickled diamond to enhance the embossing more.

Christening Card

My Nephews Baby Boy Alfie Craig was Christened on Sunday so i had to set to and get a card made. Not my favorite card to make as I always struggle with baby cards but I was quite pleased with the result.

Attention to detail...

Both stamps used were from Papertrey Ink from the stamp set Everyday Blessings.

A solitary pearl placed in the centre of the cross to finish.

A pretty background paper that I found in my stash was perfect in a baby blues and white, teamed with a pretty ribbon tied in a bow.

Teal and Chocolate - Poppy

I used Stampin Up patterned paper (to the nines) and the stamp set Remember by Papertrey Ink to make the card.
I love chocolate and teal colours together. This shot doesn't show up to well the embossed top of the cream card but a close up further down the page does so please scroll down.

Attention to detail...

The top of the card that I stamped on was embossed using the paisley Cuttlebug folder I distressed around the endges of the top cards then tied around the ribbon and knotted it through a button to finish,

I stamped the poppy twice, cut one out then added it with a dimentioal dot to make it pop.

Flourish Medalion

As I only used part of the medalion stamp from Stampin Up on the last card I made with it I thought I would make one showing the whole of this stamp but this time using a classic black and white theme.
A black 14 x 14 base card and a patterned paper from Papertrey ink cut slightly smaller.
Medalion stamped onto white card with Momento Ink then mounted onto a slightly larger black card, I went on to stamp the centre of the Medalion again and cut this out added pearls a white button and ribbon and used double sided foam pads to mount this in the centre of the first medalion to give a 3d effect

Floral Frenzy

I think I'm in pink mode at the moment, I love pink matched with brown it's like a bit of sugar candy.
I used the Floral Frenzy stamp set from Papertrey Ink ( link it on the side bar) stamped in close to cocoa ink from Stampin Up, I then over stamped the petals in pink ink and set to layering up the card, The sentiment was also stamped with close to cocoa ink then punched out using the word slot punch, If anyone needs a supplier of Stanpin Up products Toni who is on my design Team and linked on the side bar is a representative.

I got the Medallion Stamp from Stampin Up and it was just itching to be inked ha ha.

I decided to make a matching gift tag, the tag is embossed at the bottom with the Victorian Cuttlebug folder then the inkpad swiped over the top to add the colour. I also stamped the top of the tag with the medallion stamp.
