Mammas Dress
Some things just take you back to your childhood don’t they?
This dress does it for me, my Mam used to make most of her dresses and this would totally have been her style.
Made using the Hunkydory Glitter Glaze card and one of the Creative Crafting World big base cards.
A few pretty paper blossoms from Orchid Crafts
Coloured with Alcohol markers.

An evening with Jack
We had a card making evening, Jack informs me that he loves to craft and that he saves bottles and toilet roll cardboard to craft with but his Mam is very naughty and keeps throwing it out ha ha! his mam informs me that he hides them in his bed and then they spill over onto the floor and his bedroom is like a pigsty.
Somehow I believe his Mam but one thing is for sure, he has a flare for crafting and loves it when we craft together.
The Hunkydory Magazine from Create and Craft had not one but two paper crafting packs free with it and Jack fell in love with this set.
He added all of the foam pads did all of the gluing, added dew drops to look like bubbles in the sea, button and bow, all I did was cut down the background card and tied the bow.
He even added an insert from the Little Book of Poetry and then wrote out the card.
Oh and yes, a button did find its way into his trouser pocket.
I think we should all encourage our children to craft, the sense of achievement is immense.
Jack now has his own crafting box with loads of bits in to craft with.

Little Pearl Dress
I thought I’d squeeze this one in, I am driving down to Peterborough tomorrow ready for shows on Create and Craft Friday 24th April at 10am and 4pm with Hunkydory. I’ve been busy busy prepping for the shows and I know I have some amazing deals on there so don’t miss it.
I want to show you some ways of using the fabulous little books and here is a sneaky peek.
I’m planning to squeeze into something like this for my Daughters wedding in 2016, well that is the plan.
I’m on first at 10am with Leoni so I think we will make a couple of these to show you how.

New Beginnings With Hunkydory
I can finally reveal that I will be doing some work with Hunkydory, we all know what amazing quality their paper craft is and when they ask if i could do some TV shows for them I was delighted. I’ve been playing with A Little Book of….. and some of the Adorable Scorable.
This card was made using A little Book of Flowers and The Second Book of Poetry.
A double twist easel card with a straight easel center.
Such pretty designs
and such beautiful poetry.

Ahoy me Matey!
Another one of my Silhouette Templates made up, a Door Hanger.
I intended to tie a knotted rope through the holes to hang it from the door but in hindsight I think a bit of bluetac is a better option and of course that means no unsightly holes in a door.
I think this one is kind of cute don’t you?

Making Templates
So I started to go stir crazy sitting at home so I decided to start making my own Cutting Templates for the Silhouette, I started with the Hexagon Box shown below and then moved on to some Flowers and Characters.
I have loads stored up, I need to start making them up now.
Loads of fun working them out and getting the measurements correct.
I always think that a hexagon box looks quite vintage.
I think the chrysanthemum finishes it off quite nicely.

Ryhope Engines Museum
Something Chris has been promising himself to visit for many years and is practically on our doorstep.
This is one impressive work of engineering that is a must to visit, my Mam and Dad took our children many years ago and I remember just how much my Dad enjoyed his visit.
I’ve added a video below of the beam engines in all of their glory, the sheer size of these is immense and has to be seen to be believed. the smell of the oil and machinery all added to the experience and the pride of the men keeping this is working order.
As you can see even the building is mighty impressive.
The Museum is open every bank holiday weekend and we were definitely blessed with the weather for our visit yesterday, quite often they have a vintage car collection on display too so that is always a bonus.
A few of the photo’s took alongside our visit.
The Blacksmith’s workshop.
A mans dream, the oil cans.
One of the smaller engines on display.
Just look at all of that grease, Chris was drooling at this stage.
Just the oily rag missing from this photo.
One of the display models.
So pleased that we went to visit, More information can be found here http://www.ryhopeengines.org.uk/index.html
