I have always done this on my travels but I have often hit a stumbling block in the way of good lighting. It never seams to be in the right place in hotel rooms.

Plain Sailing

I’ve really struggled to make a card this last week or so, you get times like that don’t you? life gets so busy and on top of the hustle and bustle of life we nearly have Christmas upon us.

I was lucky enough to get the cold that has been doing it’s round and I still have the hacking cough to prove it, you know the type, the one that waits until you have warmed up in bed then starts until you are so hot and bothered from coughing that you fling the blankets off only to freeze your nads off later. Hey Ho.

So I needed something to ease me back into colouring and this ticked all of the boxes.

Galleon from Just Inklined it is a pencil lined digital stamp and the beauty of this is that the shading in the stamp helps immensely when colouring, it makes it so easy to colour.

Gallion1

I coloured this one with Copic markers as I only have a limited palette in Graph’It although I will add more to my range because I love them.

I used chalk pencils to create the sky.

Gallion2

Clean and simple style with a little bit of designer paper and a button and hemp cord.

Gift Idea for Children–Place Setting

I had to find something for our Grandson Jack as his place setting and it had to be fun and something that he could relate to.

I found this Gift Bag template and thought “ that should do it very nicely thank you”.

Santa_bag2

I know I only needed one for Jack but as his Mam runs an area for slimming would and has gifts to give to team leaders the rest will come in very handy for her.

Super fun and easy to make on the Silhouette Portrait and I found the template on the silhouette site, it was one of Lori Whitlock’s templates.

Santa_bag1

Filled with a few treats and a mini transformer car for when Jack has finished his dinner makes it perfect to get him to tuck into his dinner just to get the prize and the end of it.

Natures Beauty

We had to pop into Durham yesterday and decided to come home the back roads, we often do this road purely as it is scenic, I often wish we had stopped to take pictures but for anyone in the knowing of the Finchale Abby road they will also know that it isn’t for the faint hearted, often barely wide enough for one vehicle let alone having to be side by side with another coming in the opposite direction.

Yesterday was no different, there is a layby to pull in but it was full of cars, mostly ramblers and walkers so I had to make do with my phone camera through the windscreen but….. I think it shows some of Natures Beauty before the leaves are no more.
