Vintage Costume Jewellery

I love costume jewellery, something to wear that wont break the bank and that gives you a feel good factor about yourself. I found a place that is like an Aladdin's cave, I could browse it for hours. I filled my basket full of goodies and was amazed at how little it all cost.

I know you all like me love a bargain so let me show you what I got.

I had this less than 24 hours when my 2 daughters laid claim to some pieces

I managed to hang on to the Light Green Bubble Resin Bead Ball Rhinestone Chic

and the Blue Lady's Bubble Bib Statement Chain Choker Necklace

This Red Enamel Metal Fashion Owl Bracelet I totally fell in love with.

And lastly 2 phone dust plugs a Gold Crown and a Panda

 

So the price for this lot came to only $21.78 and very cheap shipping to the UK too.

Go over and have a nosey as you may just find some stocking fillers ready for your Christmas presents.

Friday morning I’ll be off to get a tow bar and cycle carrier fitted to the car. We have been itching to get further afield with our bikes, it will be lovely to take them with us and enjoy days out too.

Such a sweetie, coloured with Copic Markers and Chalk pencils then teamed with a spellbinders fleur di lis die, Papertrey Ink designer paper and a pretty ribbon to finish.

 

 

Saturday is a together Day for Chris and myself, weekends we take time out to be together and enjoy each others company.

Today I declined from the cycle ride but Chris went out early morning and come home like a drowned rat, he was soon showered and ready for the rest of the day together.

It was a naughty kind of day, it started well with porridge and banana for breakfast but then we did the sin of going to Dalton Park and grabbing a Latte to go from Thornton’s (you always get a chocolate to go with the coffee, now if that wasn’t bad enough we had to pass by Millie's cookies and a toffee cookie was calling our name, not one but two each, oh well I’m sure a cycle ride tomorrow will sort that out for us.

Triple Bright Lamp–Daylight Company

Over the last few weeks I have been using the Triple Light Daylight lamp from the Daylight Company  to craft under.

The image above was took in full daylight 12:00 noon in my home, you can see the difference it makes to my work area even at day time.

I first used it clamped onto my table top the I got the floor stand which is amazing, the structure of the legs are cast iron so it is really sturdy.

 

When I first thought about the triple light I was thinking triple the brightness comparing it to my original desk lamp and magnifier but what I hadn’t banked on was the fact that it would have triple the spread of light, this for me as a crafter is the most amazing part of the lamp.

The image above shows the lighted area that this lamp gives to me.

I often have what you could say is a dumping ground on my desk, I tend to gather things that I would like to use in making a card and plonk them on the desk what the lamp does to help is give me no shadows so that colours are true and it is easy to map out the card with matching items before gluing them in place.

I’m so happy with the productiveness of this lamp, over all a big 10 out of 10 I’d give this one.

Drenched

I found a lovely new company to me, From The Heart Stamps, of course it would have been impolite to pass it by without a purchase, so my image today is called Drenched.

The sentiment comes with the digi stamp and I’m dedicating this card to all of the UK as I would like brilliant sunshine back please.

Paint your own Canvas

Sometimes we need to take the plunge and paint our own Canvas in life and I found just the image to express this and make an inspirational card with.

This is the figure that I am aiming for with my healthy eating, I may need a wizard to go with her to work a bit of body magic for me.

Having said that I have been back out on my bike and did a healthy 10.5 miles tonight, I’m in training for the up and coming bank holiday as I just know Chris is going push me over the weekend.
