No Sewing

I found a lovely site for materials and haberdashery Terry’s Fabrics, I browsed it all ha ha! I have to do that before making my choices as I kept finding something else I would want.
I decided on a selection of plain organza I thought I could use it for inside of the gift boxes I make but I soon got to thinking of bows. I cut off a thing strip no sewing involved and tied it into a sweet bow for this baby card

It worked perfectly.

Papers used is from Kaisercraft, so many sweet elements in the baby paper pad.

I ended up getting two lots of PVC Fabric, I was going to cover some chair seats but I love it so much that I’m keeping it for the garden table, it’s washable so I will be able to use it over and over again, so sewing big bonus for me.

there is so many designs in this I may need to pop back and get more.
I was thinking that these cut also be cut out to add to cards too as there is no fraying with the PVC Fabric.

Live Life to the Full

I’m a great believer in living life to the full, we don’t know what is around the corner and some would say it’s best we don’t.
My card today says it all, not a bit of colouring done on this one, it’s more of a scrapbook style layout and all done from a Kaisercraft design paper pad.
Live Life Card1
I simply love the aqua shades, just lots of matting and layering with this one, using black card to emphasize the papers.
Live Life Card2
Adding foam pads to raise some of the elements.

And finishing with a ribbon slider.

We did roughly 4 miles walking and chatting, I’ll suffer tomorrow as my feet were paining by the time we got home, Chris offered to give me a piggy back on the way home but I figured there was no need for him to have a bad back as well as me ha ha!

You are my Sunshine–Happy Fathers Day

Before my wonderful Dad left us Lauren asked him to send her a baby, of course he did and gave us a beautiful Grandson Jack, named after my Dad, he used to sing you are my sunshine to me as a little girl and then to my two daughters when they were little. Now years later we sing this to our Grandson Jack, his mam sings it to him at bed time and now here he is singing it for you.

A couple of things we did this week.

Two of Us-033I thought I’d share a couple of things that we did this week, we visited the newly finished Marina in Seaham, it’s gorgeous down there, it has a cafe overlooking the sea and the Marina so we popped in for a coffee.

Marina3

It is quite historic and they have had a lifeboat restored to its former glory after on Saturday the 17th of November 1962,the Seaham lifeboat, George Elmy was involved in a disaster. Where crew and fishermen lost their lives one of which was my sister in laws father. You can read more about it here http://www.seahamlifeboats.oneuk.com/

The next little outing was one I hadn’t even thought about until I saw it on the local news, it was a news report featuring the Transport bridge in Middlesbrough, I mentioned to Chris that I had never been across it and that I would like to.

You drive onto it in the car and the yellow carriage seen in the above picture carry's you across the water.

transport bridge2

So on we went.

It was much faster than I had thought it would be.

Aloha–Blue Hawaiian

Drink anyone? What could be nicer than sitting in the garden with a sneaky cocktail whilst enjoying the Summer sun?

Blue Hawaiian from the Cocktails for Two digital image set by Just Inklined

Blue_Hawaiian1

Tropically hot don’t you think?

I used the Copic Airbrush to add a splash of colour behind the image and I printed the flower part in duplicate to create the 3d effect.
