Shimmering Card with Letraset Markers

I love to try out my markers on different card stock and paper and today I wanted to show you the results on a shimmer card stock, you would think you would loose the effect of a luxurious shimmer but in fact in enhances it.
I used the Christmas 5 Promarker + 1 Metallic packs of pens in Contemporary and Traditional and you will see for yourself the result.
Cool wintery colours and a silver metallic pen to add some pop.
Silk ribbon from Ribbon Carousel
and a close up to show the card still shimmers through the colour.

Next up is the Traditional Pack
Warming colours with a Metallic Gold.
Ribbon from Ribbon Carousel

Again a close up of the shimmer shining through the colour

All in All I think you'll agree it is gorgeous.
I have a set of each of these to give away, winners will be chosen from comments left, pop over to the Letraset Blog and leave a comment and you’ll have two chances of winning.

Eleanor Praying in Monotones

It is coming up to my Mother In laws birthday and she will be the ripe young age of 80 so I need to get my thinking cap on for a card for her and I thought I’d start with this one.

It’s not just Eleanor that's praying because I’m doing some praying of my own that I’m as good as my Mother In Law when I hit 80 years of age.

Eleanor Praying by Just Inklined is such a gorgeous image that I think she may just be what I need.

Coloured with Copic Markers and blended with Pan Pastels.

I added a touch of elegance with a real silk swatch of material and lace and ribbon from Ribbon Carousel and a gorgeous button from Dainty Paperie

Do you think this will do the trick?

Great Impressions and RC Blog Hop!

The Ribbon Carousel Crewmates are teaming up with the talented designers from Great Impressions to bring you a blog hop overflowing with crafty goodness!

We got to play some super fun stamps from Great Impressions AND some ribbon and twine from the Ribbon Carousel, of course!

I've used Dotted Winter Tree stamp image and True Joy of the Season sentiment stamp from Great Impressions and Silk Ribbon from Ribbon Carousel
I used Pan Pastels to colour, papers from my stash, Memory box dies and a pretty stick pin.

Here’s a little about our sponsor:

Deone and her husband Ken started Great Impressions in 1984. They started their journey by doing craft shows around the country and then in the 90's decided to sell wholesale. After that they decided to start selling in small retail stores and the original "Stamp of the Month" was born. The next step was opening an online website so that purchasing Great Impressions stamps would be even easier which is where the company is today. We hope that you will visit our website and our blog where we feature a new DT project each day and have a monthly challenge.

Now, lets talk prizes!

Hop along with us today and leave some blog love for our Ribbon Carousel Crewmates and the The Great Impressions DT to be eligible to win one of the 2 prizes up for grabs!  We'll select 2 random commenters from 2 randomly selected designer blog, so be sure to spread the love around!

The Great Impressions prize is a $25 Gift Certificate, and the RC prize is a $25 Gift Certificate to the RC store

Floods in the North East of England–Ragged

Well it has been a cold wet dank week in my little part of the world, floods during the night kept our fire service busy and my daughter partner could get out of their estate so hopefully the worst is over.

As I’m feeling a little ragged this weekend with the dreaded cold bug I thought Ragged Maggie by Mo’s Digital Pencil would be quite an apt image for me.

I have to say although she is named Ragged Maggie she is the sweetest little thing isn’t she?
