Paddling with my Nanna

mummu in summer2

As a child I spent many a day with my Nanna and Granda at the beach and Nanna liked nothing better than to paddle in the sea, we would spend hours collecting pretty pebbles and shells and when we got home we would decorate plant pots with them, I even once got to decorate a small wall in her garden. I used to love the smell of the salty sea on them, I still today love the smell of the sea.

The image I used to day brought all of those memories flooding back the image is Mummu in Summer from Mo’s Digital Pencil thank you Mo.

Coloured with Copic Marker, the pretty paper was out of my stash I think it is from a My Minds Eye pad, a ticket stamped with Whimsy ticket stamps, pretty flowers and dainty dots from Dainty Paperie and a beautiful satin ribbon from Fantastic Ribbons

Did I tell you my Nanna told the most amazing stories, not from a book, all from her imagination, she used to describe all the fine details and had me memorised I still remember some of them today.

Here is a scrapbook layout that I made about her. I’m the baby with dark hair and my cousin Susan is the fair haired baby.

Home Tweet Home

hometweethome2

Such a sweet image this one, Home Tweet Home from Mo’s Digital Pencil, so easy to colour too, I printed it twice and decoupaged the birds and the sign to add some dimension.

hometweethome

the image was cut out after colouring with Copic markers then the extra layers added with foam pads, I used the Cuttlebug and a Sizzix embossing folder for the leaf design and the bottom designer paper is by Stampin Up, I added some little birdie foot prints to that then used a fancy sentiment die by Spellbinders to cut out the sentiment, lastly I slotted a ribbon through the die and added some lace trim.

Ebony–Make it Crafty and Some News

Ebony-at-beach2

I know you probably thought you were in for a long winter when I started to post Christmas cards and I can just see you all scrambling to get out the winter duvet but STOP! here is a summer scene to warm the cockles of your hearts again.

Ebony at the beach is a digi stamp from Make it Crafty

Ebony-at-beach

Coloured with Copic Sketch Markers I used the Martha Stewart flourish punch (dicontinued now) to edge the image and another craft punch for the borders some lace from Dainty Paperie  and some vintage binding tape as ribbon, the designer papers are from Stampin Up.

News Flash……

I have set Chris away with a blog for his models, at present he is building a Cargo Ship which is looking pretty damned good. He has lots to learn as he has never blogged before but he did manage his first posting, he has loads of pictures needing adding to his blog and many which I haven’t yet shown but I know he would be thrilled if you left him a comment or two for encouragement and followed him through this. you can visit him here at The Making of Wynyard Lane

Poinsettia

Poinsettia2

Now it would have been such a shame not to make this into a card whilst I was in the Christmas spirit, the Poinsettia is a digital stamp from Stamping Sketcher here and if I’m totally honest it took me a couple of days to colour it, partially because I was boggle eyed with it and partially because I got bored using the red and green colours.

Having said all of that I am totally pleased with the outcome.

Poinsettia

The background red card was stamped with a holly sprig and heat embossed with detail gold embossing powder. The digi stamp was coloured with copics then sprayed with Crafters Companion iridescent spray glitter, matting a laying of gold and black card, some pearls and a ribbon to finish.
