Little Donkey - Flippin' Christmas

Flippin' Christmas by La Pashe Designed by myself and Art work by Jim Harker

These were fun to make.

My tip for the day is add the background to the card first, then the front image and lastly the rear image.

The reason for this is you can then see where the image needs to go to be in the right place for the background showing through the aperture of the card.

From Little Acorns...

Another 2 stamps from the Lovely as a Tree stamp set by Stampin Up, I used one (the leaf) to make a background and the other ( the oak tree) as a main focal point.
A bit of matting and layering some patterned paper a ribbon and a couple of brads to finish the card.

Attention to detail...

After stamping the image with a water based inks, I took a damp paint brush and lightly blended the tree and shadow underneath it. It gives the impression of a watercolour painting.

Talking of little acorns Lauren stopped by with Jack, he was 3 weeks old on Thursday.
Jack was weighed and he is now 9Lb 11oz he's a Hungry Horace and loves his tucker.
Grandad took him out for a walk and on his way back he popped to the cemetery and introduced young Jack to my Dad Great Grandad Jack, I thought that was so sweet of him.
He said he was talking away to them both much to a ladies amazement who was there visiting a loved one.

Little Rascal

The image used is a stamp by Art impressions, it is JESSE FRONT + BACK stamp, I coloured the image with a mixture of Promarkers and Copic Sketch markers, then used the rectangle Nestabilities to cut out the image and mounted it on a scalloped rectangle in the same red as the base card.
Some dotty blue paper, a few die cut letters and a ribbon and I was done.

Attention to detail...

Little alphabet dies are fabulous for adding just what you want to say, the one used here is Moxie by QuicKutz

Lovely As A Tree

The Lovely as a Tree stamp set by Stampin Up was used for this card, stamped in Perfect Plum ink then I used a damp brush to blend in the little mounds under the trees and finished with stickles ice glitter glue scattered over the image to make it pop, I rounded the corners then used the Martha Stewart Flourish punch at the top and bottom edge then mounted it onto a large labels die cut (Nestabilities).
The base card was stamped with Fancy Flourishes stamp set.
I finished with a ribbon and some pearls.

Attention to detail...

After stamping the base card using Fancy Flourishes I added a couple of self adhesive pearls
