Happy Fathers Day

A glimmer of hope in the form of a Poppy...
A difficult day for me today and I expect many others too, the first Fathers day without my Dad, Mam is coming for her dinner and then we are going to the Cemetery to visit Dad, I bought some flowers yesterday ready to take along.
Now for the glimmer of hope.... This morning a Poppy has appeared in my garden, the colour of this Poppy is the colour of the flowers I have bought for my Dad.
We also have a gardener coming today to sort out the garden as at the moment it is weed ridden and full of overgrown plants that need to be sorted out, of course he will be instructed to leave this beautiful poppy alone.

Flourished Wedding Card

This wedding card was made using the Flourished background in my previous post below this one.
I stare=ted with a 15 x 15cm white base card printed out the background paper then cut it to 13.5 x 13.5cm, punched the corners with a heart punch and adhered it to the card I used the Nestabilities to cut out the heart shapes 2 aqua and 2 white, embossed the larger white heart with the birds and swirls cuttlebug folder and stamped a Obsession Impression Hear onto the smallest Aqua heart and heat embossed it with white powder.
I layered it all up and added a sheer white ribbon white was given to me by my talented friend Katie.

Free Wedding Sheets

That time is upon us again "The Wedding Season" so. I've put together a few sheets to help you all out.
I chose one of my favorite colours as the inspiration for the sheets (Aqua) then duplicated it in a classic colour(Gold) to give you a choice.
You are free to use my sheets for personal use but please do not share or sell them instead link back to my blog for people to download them. They are copyright.

Fathers Card

A Birthday card for my Father in law, I have really struggled with Fathers Day coming up this being the first since I lost my dear Dad so I actually bought my Father in Law a card for that, however, it is also his Birthday on Friday so I made him this card and left off the Father wording and that seemed to make it easier for me.
The card was inspired by a photo I took whilst in Appleby Magna (Staffordshire) I love these colours as they are so warming.
The tree stamp is a Graphicus Stamp inked with Close to Cocoa ink then touched with the Inkssentials gel pen to add the highlights, I sponged the edges of the card with the same coloured ink to add depth to the card.

Ohhhh I love this Button, not cheap to buy but hey isn't it gorgeous.

The card was made so I thought I'd carry on the theme to a bag to house some toffees.
The template for the Bag can be bought at The Digichick

Flourished Pearls

Flourished Pearl card...
The base and patterned card I got from a friend at the weekend (Thanks Greta)
I loved the colours, that patterned card has a punched edge I did this with a Kreation Punch then adhered it to the base card.
i punched out some tiny blossoms and dotted the centre of them with a matching coloured pen, glued them in threes down the side of the card then used the Inkssentials opaque gel pen to create a stitched vine effect. The Flourish Stamp was inked in Ocean Tides Palette ink (both from PapertreyInk) and stamped onto white card then little aqua pearls added to the flourish.
Finished with a jewel and some ribbon.

The ribbon is slotted through the back of the glass jewel, actually it isn't a jewel at all it is a button I found in a knitting shop but knew it would be perfect for my ribbons on my cards.

Tear Bear

My first Tear Bear, actually I don't like it but I wanted to give making one a try, he is far too dark as this was the only thick Mulberry paper I could find that would be suitable to make one with.
It was made by drawing round shapes with a wet paintbrush onto the paper then teasing the circle away from the rest of the paper which left the hairy looking edge.
The sentiment is by Stampin Up

More from my Holidays

Another spectacular sunset view.
I think I may need to make a few sheets for you all with some of the scenery pictures.

This is Pam showing how not to use embossing powder.

Dirty girl....

We had a little visitor,, isn't he just gorgeous.

Jean managed to get the little beauty back to the outdoors where it belonged.
I managed to get a shot with wings opened, quite spectacular.

We had a little panic as a friend took ill, the medical service was fabulous and we had soon turned the frightening situation round to having Debs at least giving a few smiles.

What a team...
