Using up Ribbon Scraps - Card for Soldiers
It took me a while but I got a card made, I’ve coloured lots but this is the first one I’ve managed to get made up.
This is Soldier Girl by Mo’s Digital Pencil the is also Soldier Boy in the shop too, I thought it would be perfect for sending to Mams and Dads in the forces or as a welcome home card.
Now the good part, camouflage with my left over ribbon scraps from Ribbon Carousel I don’t like wasting any.
A great way to use up those scraps of ribbon.
Don’t be put off with doing the camouflage, it’s so easy, just pick your colours and start splodging. I also coloured up the Soldier Boy but as yet he hasn’t made it into card form.
Tomorrow is a busy day and I have a Christening (my Nieces baby, Layla) and a Wedding (my boss), Thankfully we are staying at the wedding venue so I’ll be able to go and rest for a while, so tomorrow I will put on my happy face and enjoy the day best I can, the wedding venue is beautiful so I’ll try to get some photo’s.

Digital Scrapbooking With the Renz Family
I'm sure you will remember my beautiful friend Katie Renz, well I keep in touch with Kevin her husband and Elizabeth, Kevin's Mom. The boys are growing fast, especially Hunter, every time I see a new photo of him I'm always blown away at how grown up he is now. I see Kevin in him too.
Elizabeth recently sent me some photographs of all three boys from her last stay and I had a little play with them and came up with some digital scrapbook pages, perfect for doing whilst my back is bad.
Hunter
It is a photo that Hunter actually likes too so it must be a winner.
Nate enjoying his Ice-cream
And of course Will doing the same.
I think Katie would have loved these.

Big Decisions'
I have decided to have a break from blogging, I’m not sure how long this will be for, I just know that I need to put myself first for a wee while. My nights sleep are getting less and the back pain is getting worse, it may be that I’m just suffering for having such a wonderful weekend at the Proms in the Park.
I feel like I’m in a very lonely place at the moment and I’m exhausted trying to hold myself so that I can relieve the pain.
I hope you all understand as this wasn’t a light hearted decision, I love blogging and the company you all give me.
If I manage to get any cards done I will blog them but I’m just not going to force a card, it will be done in stages.

Going Up in the World
I love the thought of going up tin the world, climbing the next step of the ladder, so this would be perfect for such occasions.
Going up from Mo’s Digital Pencil , I used both boy and girl and merged them together.
Coloured with Copic markers and teamed with a lovely 1.5" Blue/Light Blue/White Woven Checked Wired Ribbon from Ribbon Carousel

Proms–Castle Howard
So we arrived at Thirsk around lunch time there were six of us my brother Alan and his wife Audrey, Keith and Cath who were also with us last year and Chris and myself. We had dinner at Weatherspoons in Thirsk and then headed up to the local Butchers for some homemade pork pies for the evening.
We got to our hotel around 2:30pm (Whitehorse Lodge) same as last year a few pics of the lodge.
Warm welcome
Comfy bed
A bit of wall art too
Oh and of course a new hair colour for the occasion
So onto the proms, we arrived at 16:10 and quickly found our spot
We set up camp and tucked into our picnic got out the flags and prepared for an awesome evening. As you can see this is the start where everyone is trying to find the perfect piece of land to settle down.
Within 20 minutes the pieces of land available became sparse.
My brother Alan rose to the challenge of having his face painted
Audrey my sister in law swore she was painting Alans face but from this shot I just know she was getting all lovey dovey with him and this looks like a fully blown snog to me but I’ll let you all make up your own mind.
Chris, Cath and Keith basking in the sun, we were so blessed with the weather.
Audrey and I got into the swing of things
The views were breath taking.
The music was breath taking and the atmosphere was awe inspiring
For those of you that don’t know what the Proms is, it is a night of classical music, all the stuff that you would know like The Hebrides Overture, Lakme Flower Duet, Land of Hope and Glory, 1812 Overture, Jerusalem, Rule Britannia and Pomp and Circumstance No1
This is the British Classical Group Amore who were snapped up by Warner bros and where signed up immediately to a Six album deal.
Only Men Aloud the welsh male choir were also amazing.
And when the sun went down we sang and cheered waving our flags and some even danced the night away.
So until next year.

Doctors Update
I am so pleased that I finally got around to going back to the Doctors, I won't bore you with all the details but the outcome was good, I'm getting a referral to have a MRI scan, I'm also getting a referral to see about getting some sticks, something to help on bad days or if I will be on my feet for a long time.
I got wrong for leaving it so long it was over 3 years since I went to the doctors about my back and had a bone density scan, I never went back because they said it was normal ware and tear, I took that it meant what was happening was normal and that I must just be soft when it actually meant that the bone density scan was normal. Silly really.
So until I get all of the appointments through I will plod on and keep taking the pain killers.

A Card with a Twist
I simply adore Dickensian images and this one just ticks all the boxes for me.
More by Mo’s Digital Pencil, Mo Manning does a ragged range of digital stamps and they are all fabulous, this one is based on Oliver.
I used the 1.5" Natural Burlap Teal/White Stripe Edge Wired Ribbon from Ribbon Carousel as it had just the right look for the image.
I told you it had a Twist (Oliver Twist)
I off to the Proms at Castle Howard today, I’ve packed a rain mac and a fleece blanket and my wellington boots and some heat patches for my back, I’ll try to get some pictures. I will update you on Sunday about my Doctors appointment.
