My lovely man likes nothing better than when he is reading a map, just look at the concentration in hi face. Does anyone in your family do this? Chris reads them as if reading a book, I've never seen the attraction myself but he can get buried studying the roads.

Sneak Peek

I’m on my way to Create and Craft and thought you’d like a sneak peek of products that will be on the shows tomorrow.

Nee Nah!

We had babysitting duties tonight, we took Jack to McDonalds but before we did Chris had to book off call at the fire station or as Jack calls it the Nee nah!

He was adamant that he was going in with Grandad and loved it.

He even got to sit in the engine and was all smiles until……… Grandad sounded the sirens or should that be neenahs?

I use My Memories Suite to digi scrap and now to make cards it is an amazingly easy program to work with.

A Little Bit Whispy

Monday already and another day at the office. Still preparing for the Create and Craft shows on Thursday 4 shows in one day, tall order.

My image today is Whispy by Saturated Canary Digi’s 

I found that gorgeous button in the middle of my ribbon at my local haberdashery and i fell in love with it.

Image coloured with Copic markers and prisma pencils. Glitter added to the wings and the trim of her dress.

Lastly Jack came over on Saturday afternoon, no matter how many toys he has he soon gets bored, but give him six balloons and he plays for hours.

To Grammy’s

This gorgeous image from Mo Manning just says it all, I thought it was very appropriate for a Sunday post as she is definitely dressed in her Sunday best.

To Grammy’s from Mo’s Digital Pencil 

I printed her twice and decoupaged some of the elements, coat, hat, bag and dolly’s head and her shoe, coloured her up with copic sketch markers and prisma pencils. Made a ribbon blossom and added pearls twine from Ribbon Carousel and some buttons to finish.

Can you remember my Floral Fancies? My Mam has been busying herself printing cutting and shaping and brought them to show me, gosh aren’t they lovely?

Love is in the Air

A big day coming up in the card making world, Saint Valentine’s Day, the earliest record of Valentines day is way back in 1382 and was a poem by Geoffrey Chaucer who wrote ;

For this was on seynt Volantynys day
Whan euery bryd comyth there to chese his make

(For this was Saint Valentine's Day, when every bird cometh there to choose his mate)

I was written to commemorate the first Anniversary of King Richard II of England to Anne of Bohemia.

I think we all have a little romantic side to us even if some don’t like to admit it and by sending cards and Valentines gifts is often a way of expressing that love.

Colouring

Oh isn't it just wonderful? The week is on our side now, well at least for those of us who need the weekend to recharge our batteries that is.
It's been a funny old week, lots of prep work trying to get ready for next week, the decision to stop working extra from my home, which I have to say is extremely difficult, I'm a creature of habit and when I see things that need fixing I normally just go ahead and do it but from here on in I will be waiting until work hours and concentrating on my home life.

The other thing that happened this week is that my gorgeous husband bought me an iPad and I have to say I simply love it, It came inscribed with the wording "I love you Jak, Chris x" engraved on the back of it, isn't he a sweetheart?

So I thought I would check out it's posting to my blog powers and this is it. Pretty easy.
