Crafting with Jack

We have had the privilege of having our Grandson Jack stay with us this weekend, although he has chattered so much that he has our ears bleeding it has been a pleasure.

Jack loves to get involved, he likes to work alongside his Granda and he calls him his building buddy (so funny).

The other side to Jack is that he loves to craft with me. I showed a card that he recently coloured and made here which was his first handmade card.

Today we decided to make 3 Christmas cards for his teachers and we decided on winter wellington boots.

Here he is showing just how very clever he is with his finished cards.

And a close up of all of them too.

He loved the snowflake background paper for this one and he also loved the glittery pom-poms, he added glitter glue and stuck everything down onto the card, I helped with the cutting out and the ribbon bows.

This one he loved the colours and the addition of the bells that jingle jangle, he even coloured the sole of the boots.

Jack Craft2

This one he loved the Christmas trees and added a line of glitter down each tree and tied the bell onto the green sparkly cord and added the big pom-pom border.

I have a feeling that he will be so proud to give his teachers cards that he made himself.

I’m still sharing sneak peeks with you all from the amazing new 3D template CD

CD CASE MOCK UP

This next template had me singing Stand and Deliver by Adam Ant all through making it.

Perfect for little boys, the Castle (fort) pointed roof is a gift box and comes out of the main castle construction and can be filled with sweet treats or even a little toy. The carriage can also be filled with something special.

Of course this can also be a Fairy-tale Castle and Carriage for the girls or maybe a wedding gift.

Just Inklined to Blog Hop–Favourite Colour Combo

Today is blog hop day and our super talented Design Team have some amazing projects to show you.

To make the hop more fun, there are 2 hidden spot prizes along the way, chosen from those that leave comments on the blogs.

This months theme is "Christmas" hosted by Joyce  which is where the blog hop starts.

You should have landed on my blog from Tangii and its her Birthday.

I’ve used Poinsettia Corner Ribbon for my card and you can buy it from Just Inklined

Teals and White is my favourite combo.

I used the Silhouette Portrait machine to create a pine branch matt for my image, I used Graph’ It Markers to colour my image which I had printed out twice and Pan Pastels for the edging both available at Polka Doodles so that I could add and extra layer to the Poinsettia flower.

Backing papers are from Stampin Up, Pearls and ribbon slide from Mei Flower

I finished with a little glitter glue to make it all pop.

Next up on the hop is Lori who always amazes me with her beautiful creations.

Jack's first Handmade Card

We had Jack visit us today, he decided to stay with us for the day and after all of our jobs were done (shopping, dinner prepared, shopping put away) all of which he helped with, he decided that he would like to colour an image and make a card.
At the ripe age of 4 years old he sat at the desk and used my Flex Markers and Clam Diggers. Image from Mo's Digital Pencil and started to colour.
Once finished he wanted to make a card for his Mam, this is all Jack's own design, I only helped with the cutting out and I tied the bow for him.
I was amazed at how careful he was and how few times he went out of the lines.
Isn't it brilliant?
