Call the Nurse

Before I start I wanted to thank you all for the wonderful Birthday Wishes both here and via email, isn’t the big WWW a wonderful tool, I have made so many online friends and appreciate each and every one of you.

I got my lie in this morning (Happy Dance) and had visits throughout the day from my family. loads of cards, chocolates and goodies. I got a beautiful writing set from my Mam as an extra as I already had had my Birthday present.

So on to my card this is another one that I’ve had coloured up for a long time awaiting to be added to a card.

I wanted a little extra in the embellishment form but just couldn’t find any so i made my own Bandages and Elastoplast's and of course i added some gorgeous pearls from Mei Flower 

I still needed something to finish the card and that's where the luscious ribbon from Ribbon Carousel came in to play

Going, Going, Gone

Fabulous crafting day, the hustle and bustle was immense at Create and Craft yesterday, I arrived at 9am bumping into Sara Davies at the reception desk and having a catch up later in the green room, I blinked and it was 11 am and time for the first show with Dave Bradford (lovely Man) we had great sales from all you wonderful crafters and by the time we were ready for the 2nd show the panic set in that we wouldn’t have enough so we pulled out all stops and secured more stock so that you wouldn’t miss out.

The first is meet and greet

It soon became obvious that the massive stock just wasn’t going to last as you went into a buying frenzy and yes we had a sell out.

This is Ellis and myself telling customers to check out their basket if they were on line.

well done to all those that managed to get both cd roms.

I got home just after 6:30 and had a well earned cuppa.

Today is my Birthday so as I am writing this in the early hours of the morning I’m figuring I should climb the stairs and have a lie in.

Nothing Finer

Sitting in hotel with my feet up on the bed with my favourite tipple full bodied tea with a threat of milk.
I will be on Create and Craft tomorrow at 11am and 2pm I created a new card pack and I know you are going to love them amongst lots of other goodies.

Pinks and Browns

You know when you have a colour layout in your head but you never can quite find the shade you are looking for? well this happened to me months ago so I laid the image to one side and every now and again i would pick it up and try to match it again and end up laying it right back down and using another image.

I picked up a paper pack at Harrogate on the The Hobby House stand and I knew instantly that it would be perfect for this image.

I used pearls from Mei Flower to accent the card, their pearls are second to none and the range is amazing as well as their prices. the flowers are made from the brown paper and the larger one with my Tonic Studios pinking shears.

 

I used one of the spellbinders frame dies to cut out the image and finished with a pretty bow.
