Project of the Month Blog Hop - Stitches

We will hold this every third Thursday of the month , we aim to give you a little inspiration and hopefully a few Oooo's and Awe's along the way, The Dream Team is made up with some of the most talented ladies so be sure to give them all a visit.

The Hop is starting with me this month as I choose the theme of Stitches
Oh gosh! I had fun using this super image Darn it! by Mo Manning at Digital Pencil Too.

I coloured the image with Promarkers then even added the twine to the needle that he is using to sew his trousers.
The only down side to making this card was I no longer own a full length tape measure as I cut it down coloured it and stuck it onto my card ha ha.

Attention to detail...

At the top of the card I did a row of cross stitch and on the patterned paper I cut curvy then joined together with the twine and tied it into a knot at the front of the card.

I kept the bottom row of stitching simple

Be sure to pop over to Liza next as she is joining our hop as a guest designer this Month and I just know she will have something amazing to show you.

If you get lost along the way I have a full list of the Design Team on my side bar.

Pre- Birthday - Oooo the Diet

We have a little tradition at work that means whenever we have a Birthday we must have cake, diet or not..
Well I have a Birthday coming up next week and as I won't be back in the office until the week after that we had cake Wednesday. I know, I know I'm trying to slim, but hey you'd be proud of me, I was soooo good.
The only thing I ate was one chocolate, not another thing passed my lips (sigh).

Prima Alabaster Flowers

The lattice punch by Martha Stewart and the Prima Alabaster Flowers work so well together, I used a very pale pink base card and stamped it using the Papertrey Ink Fancy Flourish Stamps in cream and light fawn coloured ink.

Attention to detail...

The Prima Alabaster Flowers are so prettyI kept the card in subtle colours to compliment it, I added extra foliage to make the flower pop using the floral punch craft punches on cream card.
