A bit of Luxury

I walked into the house and a parcel greeted me on the mat (I love parcels)
Anyway after peeling back the wrapping I found a golden box on opening the box I saw cream tissue paper layered and sealed with a gold sticker I carefully peeled back the tissue to reveal the ribbons inside each ribbon was carefully wrapped in a thin piece of ribbon and a label attached saying was it was (how sweet is that?)
It isn't very often that a company goes the extra mile these days but I have to tell you I was more than thrilled with this parcel.
The ribbons are very high quality and worth every penny paid for them I will definitely use this company again.
Oh yes the company The Ribbon Shop

I think my button buying is becoming an obsession.
The button shown were bought from my local knitting shop.

Flippin Christmas - Christmas Cheers

Flippin' Christmas by Lapashe Designed by myself and Art work by Jim Harker
With this card I looked for an easy way to decorate the front of the card without taking the focus away from the Decoupage, my answer came in the form of snowflake punches and a bit of Stickles glitter glue, I thinks most of us own a snowflake punch or die shape.

All of Santa's work is done so it is time to relax with friends.

As you can see the snowfalkes were attached to the card with PVA glue the dabbed with Diamond Stickles glitter glue.

More finished cards can be found at the Design Teams Blogs

I'm 5 days old...

... and already bright eyed and and watching everything around me.
oh yes and if you scroll down a little further my Gran has added a printable sheet for you to print out and give to a new Mum.

Click to enlarge, save, print, then roll into a scroll tie with a blue or pink ribbon and give it to a new Mum. The perfect poem to recite to her baby.

Christmas Delights - Paper Folding Flowers

I love how this Christmas gift box has come together, I started by making a box from red and gold card stock, the bits of the gold card that I had left over I punched out some leaves ready to add to the top of the box.
Now for the flowers, I found these on a very clever paper folding blog called Folding Trees you must check out the tutorial of the flower here

You can see on this close up image that I used a gold marker on the centre folds to make the middle of the flower pop.

Let it Snow, let it snow, let it snow!

I simply love this stamp it's called 'Let it Snow' and is made by Impression Obsession and I can see me making a few of these cards this year.
The base card is a DL size card then I used a slightly smaller white piece of card and used the Swiss Dots and the Snowflake A2 cuttlebug folders to emboss it, once I'd done this I tied a blue satin ribbon around it then stuck it down onto the base card with double sided tape.
I stamped the image onto white card with the SU Brocade Blue ink then used a damp paint brush over the inked image to create shadows.
I cut out the image using the QuicKutz cookie cutters and also cut out a larger shape in the blue card then stuck these to the card. The sentiment was stamped in the same ink and I used SU oval punches to cut the sentiment and a blue scalloped oval out then added to the card.
I finished by using stickles and silver Bedazzles on the image.
