Flippn' Men Cards

Just a few more examples of the Flippin' Men by La Pashe

With these cards I covered the specially designed triple fold aperture cards with scrapbooking paper. The reason the Flippin Men Cards are different is not only the large size, they have a spine down either side of the aperture, the reason for the spine is so that the inside of the decoupage won't get crushed.

Baby Card

This special baby card is the most beautiful card in the world. Just ask any grand parent and they will tell you that it's true.
Lauren went for her first scan on Tuesday afternoon and came straight over to show me the scanned image.
Baby Anderson is 12 weeks and 1 day out of 40 weeks keeping warm by my Daughter Lauren. This is Laurens first baby and she just can't wait.
During the scan they noticed that Lauren has got a double Uterus.
If you click on the large scanned image you can even see the baby's eyes.

Vintage Lady Stamped Card

A Stamped Vintage Lady card, the card base is a pre printed A4 card folded in half, I still love Vintage cards and often drift back to this style when I need some inspiration, I love working with inks and getting my hands dirty, so, Tuesday I will be going to work sporting green inky fingers.

The lady is a rubber stamp by Stampsmith she is one of Shakespeare Heroins, I used green distress ink by Ranger to stamp the image then tore around the edges and used the same ink to distress by ponging the ink on the edges of the image.

It was this stamp that inspired the card as I think she is just so beautiful.

I punched out some flower shapes in cream and green card then used wet glue on the petals and dipped them into crushed glass glitter, I have 2lbs in weight of this glitter to use up ha ha ha.

This is a rubber stamp flower stamped onto acetate then cut out, I then wrapped the threaded beads onto a large gold brad and then poked the brad through the acetate and secured the beaded flower onto the card with a glue dot.

Glimmer Mists Card

This is the second Glimmer Mists background that I made, the glimmer mists by Tattered Angels is colour inks and mica powders in a spray bottle you build up the colours by spraying your paper and letting the inks slightly overlap, you can see the glimmer on the background in this picture.
I stamped the Ellusive Images Koi Carp onto stampbord and coloured the stampbord with matching inks added a bit of glitter and used Sakura pens to colour the Koi Carp.

Cuttlebug Bird Call & Glimmer Mists card

The background on the stamped watercolour paper was made with Glimmer Mists I love the way the colours have formed I started with the lights colour in this case it was gold, then misted over a blue and a black cherry colour then let it dry naturally.
Once dry I used the Penny Black aspire stamp and the bird and wording from PTI set Birds of a feather and created a picture.
I used the Cuttlebug folder Bird Call and embossed a piece of card then sponged over this with a wine coloured ink.
I used the Spellbinders Tag Trio to cut out the wording and tied this to the card with a burgandy wine coloured ribbon.

I thought it was worth adding a close up of the glimmer mist background that I made the nice thing about glimmer mist is every time you spray you know you will end up with something different I just wish I could show the twinkle it has. As soon as I layered the glimmer mist colours on this paper I saw a morning sky.
