Thank You for the Cards

I thought I would show you some of the wonderful cards I received from fellow crafter friends.

They are all beautiful with thought and care put into making them and wonderful words of sympathy.

I have kept the picture size quite large so if you click on the image you will get a closer look at them all.

Giving Thanks - Flourishes

Both my Mam and I thought it was only fitting to send a thank you to all that gave money for the I.C.C.U. at the hospital who were marvelous in Dads final days.
I thought after chatting to Mam last night that I'd better make a start and at least design something ready for the making, I wanted something simple yet elegant and with the right wording.
So this is what I came up with.

As you can see we need a fair few of these, so before I knew where I was I'd made 14.
At the front is the envelopes which are also stamped to match the card
with the flourish stamp by PTI.

Stamps used:
Everyday Blessing by Papertrey Ink

A winter scene Thomas Kinkade Stamp inked with black ink and stamped onto white card then layered on top of red card.
I made the Poinsettia with the Mega Giant Dahlia Petals Punch
Added a sentimant ribbon tag and tied the ribbon around the base of the card.

Flippin' Men - Spinner

Just another way of making these.
I added the decoupage made by la Pashe front and back to a smaller oval than the apeture and added a string between the layers I attached the string on the inside of the apeture sticking it down securely with double sided tape then closed the apeture and viola, the image spins.

May the Lord Bless you.

I really need to move on from sympathy now but as I find myself surrounded in sympathy cards I seem to be getting inspiration from them which in turn is showing in my card making, I find this quite strange as normally I would find these the hardest cards of them all to make.
The cross is stamped directly onto the base card in a brown walnut distress ink then a couple of pearls added the sentiment is stamped onto one of the smallest label Nestabilities and then cut out the next size label in a brown card stock both stamps are from Every Day Blessing by PTI.
I stamped the next image by Clarity stamps onto a larger sized label shape and again mounted this on top of a larger one in the brown card stock.
I brought it all together with a chocolate silk ribbon.
