The Wedding of Craig and Claire

Well we had a sun filled day so we were blessed as the weather of late could have made this day so very different.

Both Bride and Groom were radiant and enjoyed their special day.

The 2 best dressed boys my great Nephews Dylon who is 3 in December who is quite the whirlwind when trying to get a picture of him and Layton born 8th July dressed in the tiniest waistcoat and cravat.

Chris was Usher and looked quite dapper, Natalie kept me company while her Dad was doing his duties.

The Reception

The reception was at Lumley Castle which is full of wondrous images I couldn't resist taking pictures of the walls and the ceiling and heard many a comment like "I bet we see some of them shots in a card form" ha ha well maybe we will.

The first image below was in a corridor that we had to walk through to get to the reception room although some thought it was spooky I found it all quite charming.

If you click on the pictures of the ceiling and walls you will see just how beautiful the plaster work is.

The Bridal Suite

The first 2 pictures I couldn't resist I think the toilet was made for midgets it was so low and the second picture just totally cracked me up this was the comic mags hanging on the back of the door.

Gift Card Bag - Tutorial

Tutorial..

Lets take sizes... I used

2 x 9cm x 16cm white card stock

2 x 8.5cm x 15.5 cm light green card stock

2 x 8cm x 7.5cm backing paper from Victorian Romance cd ( Joanna Sheen)

Topper image cut into a circle with Nestabilities from Victorian Romance cd ( Joanna Sheen)

Scalloped Circle light green card stock

Punch out slots on both cards at the top, the best way to do this is to punch out the 1st then line this up with the next piece turn the punch upside down and align the Punch so the hole will be punched in exactly the same place keeping the 2 pieces of card together and re-punching.

Stick the next size card (mine was light green) down on top of the white card covering the slot holes, these will be re-punched.

I punched out the holes again by aligning the punch up with the first slot holes, then add the background paper the ribbon and the front embellishment.

Put the card pieces to one side until you need them.

Now to making the bag - you will need a piece of A4 paper

Along the long side of the A4 paper score at 2", 5". 7" & 10" there will be a small piece left over at the end.

Turn the paper 45% and make a score line at 2" down the length of the paper.

Fold all of the score lines before moving on to the next instructions.

At the extra edge that was left over from the first set of score lines add double sided tape, this edge will stick down on the inside of the bag as shown in the 2nd image.

At the side of the paper where the 2" scoreline is you with fold this to form the base the best way to describe how this is done is imagine you are wrapping a parcel creasing in the short sides of the bag first so that you are left with triangle points on the wider sides.

stick these triangles down with strong double sided tape.

From the open end of the bag crease both of the sides inwards as you get near to the bottom you will need to turn up the base of the bag as shown in the second image

You can see the bottom of the bag shaped so that there is a V shape in the bottom of the bag this allows the bag to open when everything is stuck in place.

The second picture is showing the bag stuck down with strong double sided tape to the back card.

Add tape to the last side and align up the card front before completely removing the tapes.

New single sheets La Pashe Decoupage

This is one of the new Decoupage sheets that I designed for La Pashe and is sold as a seperate sheet rather than in a set.

The artist is Jim harker and I designed the decoupage so hense the number plate JH being both our initials so it is JH X2 The make of car is a Vintage Lagonda.

And in Green, the just Married is an extra piece on the sheet along with the cans.

Floral Punch Craft - Poinsettia

No card as yet for this one as I was so tired last night I only managed to make the flower it self, however, I love this flower, both leaves and petals were made using the giant dahlia leaf punch and at the center of ot I added gold and red seed beads for the stamen.

Floral Punch Craft - Batchelors Buttons

I love this little flower arrangement, the flowers were made with the Cosmos punch by Carl and lots of layering, card base was made from the same colour as the flowers.

A white card slightly smaller than the base card and stamped with a navy ink to make the background. stamped a sentiment & cut out using the Nestibilitie Dies.

Layered all the elements of the card and finished with a white ribbon
