I will be on Create and Craft tomorrow at 11am and 2pm I created a new card pack and I know you are going to love them amongst lots of other goodies.

Pinks and Browns

You know when you have a colour layout in your head but you never can quite find the shade you are looking for? well this happened to me months ago so I laid the image to one side and every now and again i would pick it up and try to match it again and end up laying it right back down and using another image.

I picked up a paper pack at Harrogate on the The Hobby House stand and I knew instantly that it would be perfect for this image.

I used pearls from Mei Flower to accent the card, their pearls are second to none and the range is amazing as well as their prices. the flowers are made from the brown paper and the larger one with my Tonic Studios pinking shears.

 

I used one of the spellbinders frame dies to cut out the image and finished with a pretty bow.

Wonderful Day–Fixer Boy

We (Mam and I) had a wonderful day at Harrogate at the Papercraft Extravaganza, we set out around 10am and got there around 11.30, a little browse around then had a sandwich and a cup of tea, saw some welcome faces and old friends, big shout out to Jacqui Dennis love that girl got a cuddle and a long awaited chat.

We were greeted at the door with someone calling my mam famous for being on my blog yesterday, that made her day so thank you to the kind lady who recognised us.

I made a card when I got home using Fixer Boy from Mo’s Digital Pencil 

I used a pre shaped card from Craftwork Cards and added some pearls from Mei Flower as you can see I got loads while I was there but give them a visit as they had a fabulous selection to choose from.

I told you all the other day about Jack loving to visit my Mam so that he can chase Jess the cat from one room to the next trying to chat with her and it’s hilarious, on our last visit he was saying to her “hello gorgeous” totally cracked me up.

But there is another reason he loves to visit and here it is.

As you can see it is all pretty special at Great Grans so many new adventures to be found.

Tomorrow I’m going to spend the day with my Mam, I’m taking her to GNPE at Harrogate which she will love as she loves her crafting and then we will come back to mine where that wonderful man of mine is making our Sunday Dinner.

Something for the Weekend–Blog Candy

I wanted to spoil all my followers but I just don’t have the pennies to do that so instead I have put together some blog candy from some of my favourite companies. Blog Hop of the Month–A bit of Verdigris

It’s that time again and this Months theme for the Blog Hop is A bit of Verdigris (the colour green)and Debby is the host and that is where the blog hop begins.

I kept mostly to green with my card and I used Window Seat from Mo’s Digital pencil for my image, she’s perfect for teenage cards.

Coloured with Copic Markers and Prisma Pencils then matted and layered on top of a leafy embossed background done with the sizzix die on the Grande Calibur by spellbinders.

Mothering Sunday Free Background Papers and Verses

Mothering Sunday is nearly upon us and I guess most of us will be looking for that special verse to add to our cards, I can make cards all day but I hate searching for verses, luckily I have a lovely friend that came to me rescue and wrote some poems for Mothers Day. So I thought it would be fitting to share with you all and I also made some pretty papers in 6" x 6" sizes to go with them.

Scout Named Noah

We had a wonderful evening babysitting Jack and we took him over to see my Mam, he was in his Jimjams all ready for bed but he loves to visit her as not only is he the apple of her eye but he is totally intrigued with Jess her cat. We stayed for about an hour as that was as much as jess could put up with him as she is getting no younger and he has her scurrying from one room to another to hide from him.

I hurried back and got this card made, I think I have said before how much this character reminds me of Jack.

This is such a sweet image that I thought it would be perfect for Mothering Sunday Cards and you could even colour theme is to your Mums Favourite colours.
