February Blog Hop - Spring

The Spring blog hop card.

Strangely enough Spring to me means fields of gold, the farmers fields are covered in rape seed and are so vibrant at this time of year not to mention the blanket of daffodils that are about so my card hopefully resembles what I see around me in that season.

Nestabilities Card - Monotone

I started with a black base card 150mm x 150mm and then stamped the top and bottom border in black ink onto a 140mm x 140mm white piece of card and adhered this to the base card.
The ribbon was tied and knotted around the middle of the card.
2 circles was cut from nestabilities a black scalloped and a white plain, onto the white circle I stamped the flower and added glass glitter to the center to make it pop.

This monotone card was made with all of my own stamps, I made the flower with individual parts, I made it this way so that if coloured ink was used it would be easier to build the flower (See sample picture below card)

Damask & Cuttlebug Card

This is a card that I made using one of the Damask Papers I made, for the download click here.
I cut it down slightly smaller than the base card, using the textured textile cuttlebug folder I embossed a piece of white card down one side and layered this on top of the damask paper then tied a white ribbon around the card.
I used the RST clear stamps and black ink and made the top image then matted this onto black card stock then added it with foam pads to the card

A Memory Walk

I went on a memory walk with my Mam today, we went to Hawthorne Dene, I was so disappointed as we couldn't get down t the Dene itself as they had the gate chained up, the problem was Mams wheelchair, if we had both been on foot it would have been fine.
The walk itself is one that both Mam and Dad used to take both my girls on. we knew that the snowdrops would have been in full bloom and in the Dene it would have looked like a white blanket as far as the eye could see.
So instead we had to keep to the road, we still enjoyed the walk, the sun was shining and it was lovely to be out, just the two of us.
We met a couple walking their Black Labrador and it nearly ended up on Mams lap, it was so friendly, I also now need to wash my coat as it just wanted to play, it also made me realise that I really miss having a dog.

This shot actually inspired me to make a card from my new Damask Papers, I'll try to post that a little later.

Floral Craft - Sakura Flower

The flower was made from the Sakura punch and the idea came from the very talented Jane Gill.
I made the flower with the Mega Sakura Punch cutting each petal so that it was individual then scoring along the petal.
I stamped a white piece of card with a Rubber Stamp Tapestry Clear Stamp and Brilliance Crimson Ink.
The centre of the flower is just a circle covered with fun flock.

A close up of the flower, you can see the scored lines on each petal.

Mans Card - Steam Engine

Using distress ink brushed corduroy I sponged a piece of white card making the ink deeper at the edges and I stamped the image with the same distress ink, using a brown ink pen I grounded the image by adding a shadow under the wheels.
The brown card base was embossed with a swiss dots cuttlebug folder then a gold ink pad rubbed over the top.

Craft Hobby & Stitch Trade Show

The Trade show was a huge success for La Pashe and I felt quite humbled at the buzz we created.
A meet up with Jane Gill, at the Woodware stand which was quite accidental, I was just passing by and a couple of flowers at the table caught my eye and made me back step to the table One I had seen recently on my friend Pam's blog and this was the other I looked down at the lady sitting at the table and exchanged smiles then noticed her badge Jane Gill this was the lady that had taught my friend to make the flower, of course I was very cheeky and asked for one of these beauties to show to you all.

Ollie Doodles one of the La Pashe stockists from Spain called in to say hi and brought me a fabulous card to wish me luck made by Lynn I took it back to the Hotel and it stayed on my dressing table.

Mind you the lady from Ollie's was not all good as she kept popping back to show me her fruits from the workshops she had attended, green was my eyes lol!

I finally got to meet Tina fellow sheenie and got a hug.

It was great to put faces to names so thank you all for popping by to say hello.

Floral Craft Bumble Bee Blossom

This floral craft blossom kept me sane tonight, It is made from a bumble bee punch although you do need to cut bits away from the bee so you are just left with the bum.
Details of how the make the flower can be found in Floral Punch Craft VI Orchids and more by Leone Em.

A closer look at the Bumble Bee flower each petal is the bee's bum.
