Rubber Stamp Tapestry - Wild Floral

I made this card using the Wild Floral set by Rubber Stamp Tapestry I just love these little peg sets, each leaf an flower are individual stamps mounted on top of wooden pegs, the beauty of this means you can use them to create frames, borders and to build your own pictures.
Each set comes with instructions of how to build up a design how neat is that?
For this card I used the Versacolor Charcoal ink and the oval Nestabilities
I sponged the ink around the edges of the card and used the Wild Floral tapestry stamps down the sides of the card. I cut out the black scalloped oval then a white plain oval was cut out and placed on top again stamped with the tapestry stamps.
I added a black velvet ribbon around the card and mounted the ovals on top of the ribbon

La Pashe Design Team

I would like to introduce you all to a new member of the La Pashe Design Team.
Jackie Semark

It didn't take me long to realise that Jackie would be an asset to our team.

I've known her for a few years now and she has developed into a very talented card maker, she thrives in decoupage and more recently in stamping.

Those of you that know Jackie will also know that she has a wicked sense of humour and in past times has been known for receiving duff products when we have been on a crafting day (or so she said)

I know when the going gets tough and when we are working to demand Jackie will be the one to lift our spirits.

for those of you that don't know Jackie yet you must check out her Blog as she has some spectacular cards on there and if that's not enough check out some of her tales on her everyday life as she will soon have your sides aching with laughter.

I must also thank Toni and Karen for the work they have done as we have had some very tight timescales and have supported La Pashe all the way. Thanks Girls

Bridge Over troubled Watercolour

I stamped the bridge by Art Impressions onto watercolour paper then painted the scene in with distress inks I love watching it develop into a scene.
Most of the painting is trial and error and I find myself painting a little bit and then walking away from it for a while before going back and painting in a little more.

In this shot you can see how I have embossed the base card with the scalloped oval Nestabilities then cut out the watercolour painting with the plain oval and glued it on top.

I used liquid pearls to dot around the painting.

Wishing Well by Whipper Snapper

This is a Wishing Well Rubber Stamp by Whipper Snapper coloured with Prisma Pencils.
The background was embossed using the Textile Cuttlebug folder and the label shapes used to cut out the Wishing Well is by Nestabilities.

A few Wishing Well traditions.
Did you know that the reason coins were thrown into a well was to give gifts to the guardians of that well as people believed that water had healing properties.
The theory was you dropped a coin into the Well and made a wish, if the coin landed face up then your wish was granted however if the coin landed face down then it wasn't.
It is said that millions of pounds each year are thrown into Wells and fountains in the hope that a wish will come true.

Watercolour Village Mens Card

This clear unmounted stamp is made by Art Impressions and is called AI Clear - English Countryside Garden set 2 I stamped the row of houses with distress inks then set to with a paintbrush, it was quite fun painting my own trees as I didn't really know for sure how it would turn out but I have to say I quite like the results.

Floral Craft Large Rose Gift

I made this Floral Punch Craft Rose from a tree punch it was a bit of a challenge as the tree punch is very very large and as it is so big the rose would be too big to go on a card but is perfect to incorporate as a gift.
It took 13 tree shapes to make the rose.
I punched out the shapes from pink light pink coloured paper then sponged cranberry ink onto each shape then using the shape forming tool I pressed downward whilst dragging the tool over each shape.
Then I used the pointed tweezers to curl the edges of the shapes to form the petals.

A close up shot of the rose.

click on the image to see it full size.

This shot of the floral punch craft rose is took from the side as I wanted to try to show you that each petal was sponged with the matching ink

The gift is inside the glass, a shower gel and body lotion.

Wine Stamp Card

Using the Rollagraph wheel and the script stamp I rolled it into the versamark ink and rolled over my base card several times to create a watermark background pattern on the card.
the wine stamp was inked with Adirondack cranberry ink then using a damp brush I moved the ink around on the image until I got the effect I wanted. I tore along both the top and bottom of the image then embossed along the top tear line with gold detail power.
Again using the cranberry Adirondack ink I sponged around the rest of the edges to create a distressed effect.
I used the trio ribbon tags by spellbinders and stamped Thinking of You on top of is and attached it with a white ribbon.
I finished the card by edging it with a gold pen.

This shot is to show you a close up image of the card base and the effect you get by using the Rollagraph wheel with versamark onto a dark coloured card.
